I did a build sheet. Just click on my profile and look at post started by me. You will get an example of how I did mine. Its pretty cool and maintenance free. Well except draining out the bucket of course.
Welcome. Yes indeed you will find lots of great information on Chameleons and even other reptiles if needed. Some people are die hard Chameleon only like myself and others own multiple reptiles. Enjoy you time here as I do on a daily basis.
With my experience its just on the Chameleon. Literature will give you a ballpark figure but if your setup is right and no health issues that life cycle can expand.
I would not cover any more than you already have because airflow is essential to health. You don't want anything to be still. I have a pair of 24"x24"X48" enclosures with just the back and one side covered and I am running 80-85% humidity. Life plants did wonders for me. I have a huge plant in...
Just aim the nozzles as stated above. Depending on the size of enclosure you can be creative to keeping the outside from getting wet. Hanging plants/fake plants that attach at the top so the mist can collect on them instead of outside the enclosure.
Welcome to the forum. The jackson chameleon is my favorite as well. I have had mine for about 2 years now and he is my little buddy. You will get alot of knowledge from all the helpful people on this forum. Only complaint I have with this place is it turned my hobby into an addiction. I went...
I came across the same issue. The way I fixed it was I just closed up one enclosure more than the other which raised the humidity. There is still enough opening to allow for air to get in and not be still so it works for both species. I have a jackson on one side and a veil on the other.
Just got a text from the owner. After he stated he would keep this little guy for me until I got back he ended up selling him. He had stated he really needed the money sooner. I wish the best of luck for that little guy and hope he ended up going to a great home. Oh well I will be on the look...
I think I will stick to Chameleons. HAHAHA...Our local pet store has a Bird Eating spider and the thing is huge and creeps me out. But they keep the Chameleons in the same room so I have to pass it everytime. Talk about the hair on the back of my head standing up. I always have heard that the...
Yeah he is a year old. The owner said he had an eye infection a while back but the vet got him all fixed up. He is still hand feeding right now but that's not a big deal. I should be able to get him back to hunting in no time.
I don't have the rain dome my friend but I do have a mist king. If you have the nozzle pointed to the center of the enclosure you will not have an issue. My enclosure is a dual set up and therefore the center piece is solid so they cant see each other. I have the mist king on the outer corners...
