I also just took this video with my digital camera. The quality is not good, but at least you can get an idea of what they are like... haha. Here is it:
Thanks! I bought all of my group from Fl Chams. The CH females were $20 per chameleon. The WC chameleons were $15 a piece. Although I bought his last 2 CH ones. Here are some pics I just took this morning for your reference:
Thanks. And yeah, pygmys can and like to be kept in groups. Normally with 1 male and a few females, but Mike at Fl Chams said I can get 2 males and 4 females. He knows what he is doing so I did it! I sure am glad I did! They are great little guys.
Oh, and I also wanted to ask... how will i...
Thanks alot! The water doesnt really ever collect on the bottom due to the layed design that I got from "roo's" guide. The bottom layer is basically fired clay balls. They absorb any water that gets through the other 2 layers. I then seperated the bottom tow layer with a poly foam layer. The...
Thanks, my Exo-Terra is the 12"x12"x18" model. I really like it, but it is hard to reach in there with it being only 12" wide. Anyways, I finally got them! They all came packed super good, and extremely healthy looking! I ordered them from Fl Chams and I am sooo happy I did. I have 2 males and 4...
Hey guys! I finally have my enclosure set-up, and running nicely. I think I found a good misting schedule and all that also. As you can see I put plenty of branches and foliage for them to climb on. And thanks soooo much to "roo" for the article on making a Pygmy Chameleon set-up! You can see I...
I would love to see a vid, but I dont know if those are the kind I am getting. I think the name of the ones I want is R. Brevs? Something similar to that.
Great vids guys! I know this is alot to ask, but does anyone have any vids of the Pygmy chams? I have never seen one in my life, and I am setting up a tank for them around xmas time. So I want to get an idea of what I am getting myself in to!
Sorry for the late reply. I have pretty much officially decided on a chameleon. I have looked at every other animals imaginable, and I still narrowed it back down to a cham!
So my question is, what is a very color morph of panther that has good color all the time? And I will most likely be...
Ok, I have been looking into the parrots all day today. I am still not sure, because I am afraid it will smell, and be really loud. If I got one, it would be a smaller type like the mini macaw.
So now, it is between a BD, a cham, and a freaking parrot!!! OMG!!!!
I have never considered one, but I just saw one at Pet Supplies Plus that was $2000! Thats a little much for me, lol! But if I knew where to get a cheaper one, then I would definatly do that! And, I think I am going to get a chameleon. I think I will really enjoy watching them.
Do you know...
Yeah, I have been going back and forth between a BD and a cham. The only thing holding me back from getting a cham for sure is that I dont want it if it is just going to sit in 1 spot all day. But if they move around, and explore all day long... then I can live with not touching them because it...
Thanks, but I went to Petsmart today (yes I know...) and I saw a female Jacksons there. They said it killed the male that was in there with her, and she was gaping alot. But I held her and it was really neat. But before today, I saw them there. I could have watched them for hours! How they just...
Yeah, I asked because I am trying to decide if a chameleon is right for me. Because I want something that is going to be somewhat active. And if a chameleon was inactive and not able to be handled, then that would not be too fun!
Thanks, I was just asking because I always thought that cham just sat in one spot all day. But I guess I was wrong! So Panthers are out and about most of the day then?
