    Advice for winter

Hello everyone! George has been a great companion this Summer and I've had some lovely time with him outside, and he's still progressing healthily and (Hopefully) happily. He's shedding today. I actually wonder if anybody here with experience can give me an idea on how to handle winter...

    Likes uvb better than basking?

Probably find the basking light too hot. What temperature is your basking spot? Also, I've heard they regulate UV/heat separately, something strange like that.

Tame? Please check this out, need help!

Looks like she trusts you. I suggest handling regularly to keep her that way, if she is attached to you, I imagine it's less stressful than people trying to handle an aggressive Chameleon.

    MBD progression?

I mean, the fact his front legs are the way they are could prove that he managed to damage his front legs by another means... It's so hard to believe the little fella' would develop MBD in such a way after a few days without supplementation, though I guess it could be possible. He looks fine...

    MBD progression?

How odd. His back legs (And him in general) look really healthy, it's just his front legs.

    Calcium&D3

It's very hard to say. Does your chameleon get regular sun? That's the important thing to know. During summer, I've been giving mine D3 twice a month, but in winter I may go to once a week. I can't give much more advice.

    How friendly is YOUR chameleon?

George is too friendly. He grabs my hand and doesn't let go. He's hissed once when I scared him while cleaning his cage, he turned tail and legged it up the side.

    sleeping chameleon

You could probably attempt to alter the Chameleons sleep pattern. Mine is very similar, up at 6AM and sleep at 6PM, probably a UK thing. I'm planning on going to college soon and my plan is to mist heavily before I go, leave the dripper running all day with some food in a cup, mist again when I...

Hi guys need some help with handling my baby veiled chameleon

You can't tame a Chameleon. They're undomesticated animals, most are still taken directly from the wild. They're instinctively solitary and aggressive towards threats. You should have known this if you wanted a Chameleon. Some are naturally friendly/tolerant of people. Most are not. However, if...

    skinny chameleon

Oh I forgot to mention, yeah if you just got the Chameleon he'll be acclimating. Let him settle and then try a normal meal, if he stays skinny, resort to what I said last post. Butterworms are good anyway, but Waxworms are very much a food for gaining weight or as a treat.

    skinny chameleon

IF you want him to gain weight fast, try Waxworms. You need to supplement them as they're difficult to gutload (They eat bea pollen or something?). Don't give them too much as Waxworms seem to be quite addictive for Chameleons, try adding one to his daily meal. I think Butterworms are also quite...

    Mistking

    We've got a descent bucket ready, I'm only using it for one cage but it's a fairly large cage (36"L x 18"W x 48"H)

    Mistking

I imagine so. I've ordered a lot of items from other countries and generally anything over a certain price tag or weight is going to have a customs tax.

    Mistking

I'm in the UK and ordered one. The item left Canada on the 29th of July after placing my order on the 12th of July (I believe there was some problems with the courier when I ordered). So it takes a little while, but I'm happy to wait personally. I need to really check up on the status since it...

Interesting info concerning Calci-worms (Phoenix worms)

I was never too sure about the brown ones either, I thought they were full of substrate or dying. I did notice when I had George outside on a sunny day and put some Calci-worms in a cup in the warm sun, they went absolutely ballistic! They were wiggling like crazy and George couldn't get enough...

Interesting info concerning Calci-worms (Phoenix worms)

The online store I buy my live food from has recently put up this interesting article on calci-worms, namely what is good about them. While I don't really take information like this completely seriously, they do mention important things such as feeding as much variety of insects as possible...

    Cham doesn't like Misting Water

Water irritates every animals eyes. Ours, dogs, chams... etc. I think it's just them washing their eyes out. If he "Hates" the water he'll run from it.

George enjoying some time in the conservatory

George absolutely loves his time in the conservatory on warm days. Snagged this photo after a yawn+stretch this morning, with his chin still puffed out. Much larger picture here http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/3332/img0309jt.jpg

    Age for feeding Panther

Yeah I'm glad someone else goes for width. George loved his Locusts when he was smaller, but he just stopped eating them as he grew and I found out he just wanted them larger, he chows down on them again now. Although luckily I've heard Locusts are quite meaty anyway, so slightly larger is...
