She still hasn't layed...I added substrate and moss to the sand. I attached a photo of her, I really need some advice (if she hasn't laid by next week I'm taking her to the vets). So if you think there is another option rather than an xray let me know. I just don't want her to get egg bound!
I dug and found nothing! I realised she looks really fat from the side. But she ate a cricket! While I was digging I put her in the old tank and she ate! Does this mean anything?
I'm not sure if she has layed her eggs or not, I check her every night when she is sleeping and havent seen her in a hole or digging, but she is looking quite thin....
there is a small water ball in her laying tank...I had a little peek without her noticing me, and she has filled the bowl with sand, right to the brim. is this normal? thanks!
Well when I just put her light out, I peeked when she was asleep, and her bum was pointing in the hole I dug! Do you think she is closer to laying now? She is in her new laying bin, it's much bigger. Do you think she is going for it?
Thanks, I read it. So should I leave her there for 2 weeks then let her go back to her old tank? When I put her in her original tank, with in 5 minutes the was digging the floor! But it's artificial grass, as I have mentioned before. She is about to go into the new laying tank, with about 75cm...
So it's been a week since I put my baby (8 month) veiled Cham in her laying tank and she hasn't done anything...I let her out today because I'm moving her into a bigger laying tank (opaque one) and she is say in the window to get vitamin D. She is restless and dug the bottom of her original tank...
yeah she deffinatly accepted him and he went all bright and spotty and puffy! she has been in the laying tank 5 days...should I put her in a different one with more room, more sand and opaque sides? :) x
I'm sorry, I'm new to this! I did research (pages and pages of it!) but there is some bits I didn't find out, for example, that you cannot breed her when she has eggs. But I did not know she actually had eggs at that point! If you have any advice, I will happily accept it. sorry again
it was a few weeks back, I dodn't really know she had eggs. but now its about 14 days later and I have seen bumps on her side, and she stopped eating, and she digggs the bottom of her cage. I think it was successful, but some say it may have been a little too late, as the eggs may have already...
no, someone suggested I let her go back into her origional tank for a bit, and I fed her some orange and then let her have natural sun light in the window. then put her back in the laying tank. But i'm just going to leave her now - not even any skeeky peeks!
okay, I will steer clear of oranges! I just checked her (lights just went on) and she isn't on the twig where she usually goes! she's on the floor, with her head up against the window, hands in the sand. Is she thinking about it? I just bought my incubator - so happy with it. Do you think the...
I will post a picture on Saturday of my second laying bin if she doesn't lay - I have been told it must be 12" deap and I think I need a deaper box. :-)
