I just hope she gets her lovely personality back. She's always been a bit of a feisty madam (but I kinda like that!) but just lately shes sweet as anything with me and Joe but then take her to the vets and shes gives herself a bad name! Haha

    Surgery Day Today

Oh she definitely will!! The vet has just rang again and said Tilly is doing very well and shes eating and walking around! So surprised. Joe is going to fetch her tonight and I cannot wait to see her. He also said she's still a little aggressive but I'm sure once she's home she will be as...

    new guy

I used a feeding cup for crickets because they are nasty and so are roaches. I feed wax worms from the palm of my hand and we have locusts in the UK which I'm not sure you can get in the states. The locusts are so easy to feed by hand because you just hold their back legs! And they don't do...

    Surgery Day Today

Oh Laurie, She's got a tub of wax worms for a treat. Obviously she's not going to eat the whole tub! Well she would if she could. I have a question actually if anybody can help me. Before Tilly was spayed we limited her food to try and aid in her producing fewer / smaller clutches. She...

spray or dripper- 2 month old veiled cham

I tried a dripper and Tilly was never interested, so we just mist and she's fine. She will drink from the leaves and occasionally the dripper but that's rare. If he's drinking from both I'd say keep both! Get rid of the substrate though, they can ingest it. When I first got my chameleon I...

    Surgery Day Today

    Surgery Day Today

Hey guys, The vet rang about an hour ago and thank god she made it. She's awake and moving around. Slowly and unsure but the first step is making it through surgery. He did manage to spay her as well as remove a lot of eggs but she she was very constipated so that or the eggs could of been...

In the UK (Leicestershire, Midlands) , my veterinary practice is at Chine House Veterinary Hospital in Loughborough. It's quite a large vets with a dedicated exotics vet. They are very good and open long hours. I'm very happy with all the treatment my chameleon and bearded dragons have...

    Surgery Day Today

Tilly is having the eggs removed and possible spay today (depending that it all goes to plan). He was going to remove the eggs but I've asked that whilst she's under anesthetic and having the op can she have her ovaries removed as I do not want this happening again. Not heard anything yet but...

I did wonder at first if I was over-reacting or stressing out over nothing but I'm so glad I took her to the vets when I did!

    Still no eggs

Hi, So you may remember me telling you about Tilly just under a week ago. She went to the vets with a bruise and vet did an xray and saw she needed to lay and was constipated. She had an Oxytocin injecting which brought on a bowel movement but no eggs. And still since Thursday no eggs...

Best way to transport Cham to the vet?

I have a clear plastic reptile container which is very big. I put a blanket in the bottom for padding just incase and I add a cane and a vine for her to sit on. Pop on the lid and off he go! Depending on how the weather is here in the uk I sometimes lay a hot water bottle under the blanket just...

So so sorry! Will you be able to find out what it was that caused it. Well I'm sure he knew how much you loved and cared for him and at least in his last moments you were holding him with heaps of love Xxx

    Diagnosis...

Well guys no eggs! So frustrating. She's been ok but she she's sitting funny and seems uncomfortable. Think the vet will suggest spaying tomorrow and I said this was the very last resort. Just don't know what to do for the best :-( wish my girl could talk to me and tell me what to do :-(
