I have 100% accuracy sexing all the offspring I have ever produced. I have sexed them correctly right out of the egg. Its not hard at all. As Steve said, at a point it is harder to sex them but before that point and after its super easy. Its also sometimes harder to sex from pictures and much...
If you think that is bad and there are some animals people shouldnt be buying as pets then why do you buy chameleons? An overwhelming percent of chameleons that are exported from their home land die in the process or shortly after. The means of how they are kept is horrid. Even if you only buy...
I wouldnt candle them either. Maybe one but only make it one you do every time. This can also ruin a good hatch for you along with spraying the eggs directly. What I do if the medium is to dry is get a syringe, put water in it and inject the water at the bottom of the container so it soaks up...
He could put it up for adoption if someone is willing to spend all the money to MAYBE save it. Besides that, it needs put out of its misery. Its sad and I know the way I explain to euthanize it is very grotesque but it is the best way besides taking it to a vet. Freezing or any other way of...
Sweet! They do look good! If the long showers or mistings do not work soon you can use saline solution. Do not drip it or stick the end in the eye. Get the tip close to the eye and shoot a jet into it filling it up. A couple times should get anything in there out.
WOW. Ive gone through a few of your threads and either you are trolling, not taking advice, not giving info so others can give you advice, are an idiot or all of the above.
What you should do is either take that chameleon to a vet to have it put down. If you do not have the funds to do so then...
Im sure some of you will appreciate this, maybe:rolleyes:
When replying to a classified ad there is some etiquette you should follow.
First. What I like to call "picture collecting" is not good etiquette. At most you need 2 pictures of the animal to know the shape it is in. You do not...
Any offers? Willing to sell both. Dont low ball me though. This species is rarely bred and there are unrelated lines out there.
PLEASE! No picture collectors and multiple questions and then saying, "Well, I was just wondering. I dont have a set up or even any interest in them."
Do not go to the guy in Westminster!! I forget the name but dont! If you are close to SEAVS then go there. That is where Chuck takes his. I think its in Reston VA. A quick google search will give you the details. Might be a little trip but Scott Stahl is one of the best chameleon vets in the...
Keeping the plant off the ground? I use anything from a bowl to the bottom of a plant pot. Anything that gets it just an inch or few off the bottom and doesnt have cracks so crix cant get under it.
I dont even worry about it. Ive kept many hatchling chameleons in an adult sized cage with no trouble what so ever. Keep the potted plant off the bottom so the feeders dont hide (do this with adults anyway too) and the will find them just as easy. In nature they have no boundaries and find their...
Sounds like you got a good setup going already and dont need much tinkering if you decide a low land species then:D
Fischers are still cooler then panthers and veileds though:cool:
