If his urine is orange it is not good. He is dehydrated then. Although he dosent look like he is... Try misting more often, twice a day is really not enough in many cases. And if you want to break this down completely, visit a vet.
First, how many of them do you have? You might not notice if they are eating if they are just a few. I dont see any change on the food I give my dubias cuz I only got like 100. They eat tiny bits of the food only :)
I´ve only had my baby cham for 2 months now and im going nuts! I want atleast 5 more! I do want many other lizards too but chameleons mostly! My cham is the only light in my life right now! :D And im so excited to have many more!
But.. life is not all sweet and filled with chameleons :( I...
She IS one nervous cham ^^. That is what Im trying to work against by making sure she sees me more often.
Im thinking of having one side of the cage really foliaged from bottom to top and the otherside a bit lighter? Good?`:)
I do kind of. My cham is really small so I house dubias in two different bins, one with adults (Wich she cant eat) and one with nymfs. Im making sure the nymfs are well gutloaded all the time and with the adults I just toss whatever left-overs I got in there :D Along with fresh veggies ofc.
So maybe a trip to the woods and make sure she got loads of vines to climb around on and remove one plant? If she were on a vine it would be much more easy to get her out than when she is in the bush! Or did I get you wrong? :)
My 3 month old velied is terrefied of me, as I did expect. But now that I have found a funky smell in her enclosure Im certained that it is dead crix behind the background that is providing that awfull smell. Need to clean out the whole cage but I can never even get close to my little cham...
It could be! But in sweden it is very rare actually. And I got it the week after I got my cham and interacted with her twice that week without washing my hands so I just think it may be her but ofcourse it can be from my food intake also :)
Got the enclosure in my bedroom where I often sit up late at night programming so the light from the screen is lighting up the room a bit.
But Stells is sleeping next to the cage door so can clearly see that she is sleeping. Her eyes are closed. But is this disturbing her sleep? :confused...
They often do that when they got something in their eye. Nothing to worry about! But just to be sure, take a look at her eyes and see if it looks strange. post a pic maybe if you arn´t sure yourself! :)
Some say you are not suppose to clean their bins too often since their poo is a good substrate. Im not in to that. I clean mine from poo cut of legs and stuff like twice a month. I found that to be the perfect formula to not have to deal with lots of funky smells :)
Hello!
Currently working on a kind of Sunny D feeder cup. Picture below.
And the mesh I tried using just a few minutes ago is plastic and would melt when coming in contact with the hot glue. Not good. So what mesh are you guys using that the crix etc can climb on? I been thinking of getting...
Just needed to quote this! Haha it sounded funny what you said about me living in a frozen waste land. That is actually exactly what Im doing :D Sweden is covered in snow like 70% of the year. So yeah.
