Sorry but im a little confused, you bought an adult panther cham that was gravid with fertile eggs? If so that is one cool story, and all those chams look amazing, wish i could help you more with the locale
I have a pretty funny story that happend earlier today.
I was feeding my guy some hornworms, and to do so i put them on the vines where he can snatch them off. He was eating them like normal but one of the worms had a really good grip on the vine, my lil guy shot his tongue out to snatch it and...
I do exactly this, i use a toothpick to grab the worms, cuz i think they are nasty. Our male cham will take them right off the toothpick (blunt end of course) but our female will only take them off the vines cuz she runs away everytime i put my hand in her cage.
Chams themselves dont smell, but their poop does. Also, standing water, like someone suggested can lead to bad smell. Just make sure you keep their cages clean and get rid of as much poop as you can!
My juve chams has been doing exactly this on several occasions so i thought i would search and am glad i found this post, is this behavior confirmed at all? or just your observations?
