to seal the oak i used a outdoor primer sealer.. i did 2 coats... then used a outdoor hunter green wood paint.. and finally a clear coat to protect it all... it is lenolium but not the tiles.. it is one solid piece... yeah i need to figure out a drain system... any ideas...
does anyone know of a value on these cages.. if i was to sell them.. what would they be worth.. solid oak.. completly sealed.. new screen sizes are 24x17x48
hello and welcome to the forums.. greece... i want to move in..lol... just a little help i suggest not putting dirt in the bottom of your cage.. it is a breeding ground for bacteris.. its harder to clean your chams fecies and all your chams food fecies.. also the dirt will help with humidity...
i personally have never had a problem breeding crickets.. i but 1,000 adult or 1" crickets.. dump them into tub with a few dirt trays.. let them do their thing for a week.. pull the trays out.. put into seperate container with heat pad.. just wait.. i have around 4-5,000 eggs incubating now...
your egg looks like its ok.. just be sure not to over moisten it.. if you at the 7 month mark youll be expectining any day now... i have 18 eggs incubating right now my self..good luck
I recomend a nice tank change.. try to orginize the cage with a few potted plants.. keep the bottom of the cage clear.. for easy cleaning.. the dirt will house bacteria very easily..all his fecies and the cricket fecies.. on top of the moisture creating mold.. i would for sure look into finding...
i buy my crickets buy the 1,000.. for $15.00.. what i recomend if you have the room.. is just an extra 50-100 adult crickets.. put them into a plastic tub with about 1 inch of potting soil.. the will do there thing and the femaled will lay their eggs in the soil.. each female cricket lays...
what i have heard is not to feed your young chams worms quite yet.. it may become partial to them and stop eating crickets.. if this happens it will be a task to convert it back to crickets as adaily supliment...i would honestly hold off on the worms until your baby is 5-6 months.. maybe more..
thanks.. yeah i saw that you tube video as well.. i have the oatmeal in top container with screen on bottom above the lower tub.. i took whole wheats and poultry feed along with flukers gutload.. ground it up real fine for young supers to eat... do you know how long it will take for these thing...

yeah i was unsure of the pultry was trying it mostly because it came highly recomended.. im not really partial of it.. i prefer my flukers and cricket crack.. usually only ue the feed when im low on gut load.... even then its mixed with others.. thanks for the info.. ill stray away from the pultry..
can i get antibiotics anywhere just to have on hand.. if my cham does become ill.. id like to have some.. also is baytril a sfe antibiotic.. i can get that... but not sure i its ok
