Today i introduced my veiled cham to another male senegal chameleon....just put about 10 inches away...my bf wanted to see if he would flare up
he didnt but he got onto my hand and gripped on SUPER TIGHT and i turned my hand upside down and i saw "it" i screamed cause i thought there was...
he did shed later this day...like a bit of white showed under his belly...
it was in the morning...and he wasnt like gaping for a long time...just opened his mouth like he was yawning lol
This morning My veiled gets under the basking bulb and puffed up and opened his mouth...no hissing
was he practicing ?? xD
I wasn't disturbing it...I saw it from a distance
lol
im going to leave him be for awhile...until he gets used to his environment...
(besides the spraying and dripper)
does his eyes look sunken to you guys??
will silkworms hydrate him ??
i was going to ask you guys if i should get the hubba mist($49)? I know it just sprays but i wanna have...
it's about 80-85 Fahrenheit outside and inside my house is 70-80 Fahrenheit (thought it would be cold inside...and not enough humidity)
should i have him inside from now on??
I usually leave him outside since it's sunny BUT under shade...like a patio roof
he's been pooping like crazy tho lol
so what should i do?? it's a little frustrating because I'm new to caring for a cham...but i want to really help donnie out :'(
I got my male veiled cham from BocaJan this sunday and he's been eating great...always hungry. Thing is, he's never thirsty!! Yesterday, my boyfriend and I tricked Donnie into drinking by holding a worm in front of him and dripping water onto his mouth...instantly sucking it in. I did the same...
For sure, get the cage there!! I love my 18x18x36 LLL reptile cage...
I recently made a custom dripper SandraChameleon posted about...it's really awesome and inexpensive lol
Drippers
Everything else I got either online or in stores...
Reptarium Hood
Reptisun 5.0 UVB 18"
search around...
12-14 hours should do it for them...if they are inside...
I usually take my cham out in the morning, afternoon to get some fresh air and bring him back in around 6pm-7pm and turn it off around 8...(first the reptisun then the 60 watt bulb)
For the lighting, the reptisun 5.0 18" Uvb bulb...
