I will be in a Uhaul, I imagine they have air conditioning in them.
I read somewhere to get a cheese cloth and put him in a little togo container lookin thing with a damp paper towel below him. His light cycle is from 8 am-8 pm and I'm moving probably around 7 am. If he is awake, should I put...
“Excelsior!” is the catchphrase of Stan Lee, who used it at the end of every "Bullpen Bulletins" column in the Marvel Comics"
Stan Lee probably has some excess.
PS) I'm sorry, I couldn't resist :)
I am moving in about a week and I need to find out the best way to move my chameleon. It will probably be about a 5-5.5 hour drive. I want it to be the least bit stressful for Larry as possible and I was thinking about letting him stay in his crate, my only concern is that the temperature could...
I don't have a dripper as of yet, I have been misting a ton though. I probably should pick one up. He poo's probably once a day, maybe every day and a half and I must say they are pretty big for his size. The vet had the sample before I brought him in and was surprised to see my little Larry...
I just put some more feeders in his cup and cleaned out a poo he had earlier. There were a few orange crystals in the urate, I'm guessing that means he needs more water? That almost seems strange to me because I mist his house a lot and I'm seein him drink.
I have been gut loading with collard greens, fruits, pretty much everything I can get my hands on that I found in the gut loading page. I also have been dusting with calcium and I have the calcium with D3 for occasional use. And herptivite once a month :)
I had a fecal exam and general checkup for my baby male Larry. The vet (she specializes in exotics) said he looked really good. His grip strength is pretty strong, he is constantly observing his surroundings, and he is very proportionate. Best of all, he is free of parasites or anything else...
I would have a really hard time keeping/breeding roaches. I live in Florida and I can't stand the roaches that get into garages, they seriously make me want to gag. The thought of raising up dubias just makes me cringe :(
I was actually just at a vet who specializes in exotics getting my baby veiled a checkup and she strongly recommended taking them outside. Nothin beats natural sunlight, that's all they would get in nature.
If he sees the crickets roamin around he is all over it. I tried cup feeding him once and he didn't even glance at the cup. I may need to try again and see if I have better luck.
Would I need to worry about im having a fall? He has pretty good grip strength but I would hate for him to slip and...
I have had my baby male for about a week and a half now and I'm trying to figure out the best time to get him a more permanent home. The shop I got him at said he was born March 18th but I'm not so sure given how small he is. Right now he is in a pretty good sized bin and it seems to work for...
Can chew through fiberglass screen? We are talking about crickets, not the critters from the Alien movies that bleed acid and have the mini mouth in the mouth right?
I have a decent amount of the fiberglass screening you see in backyards to keep mosquitos out (an absolute must in Florida) and I was curious if it can be used as screen for an enclosure. The grade is pretty small; its 1/16th of an inch. My one concern is that it may filter out heat and UVB...
Sorry for the vernacular. Will crickets eat what chameleons leave behind? I do the best of cleaning out Larry's cage but I'm sure I will miss some here and there. Do I need to worry about the crickets eating it and having Larry get sick from eating them?
I had a pet praying mantis that I caught when I was back in Ohio. They are incredible little critters and I personally would have a hard time using them as feeders :[
