I've had my cham for about a month now and I still havent seen him drink, but hes doing fine so im assuming hes getting it somehow, through food or just when im not about to see. So I wouldn't worry too much unless you start to see signs.

Also what sort of cage are you going for? The one I have has a solid perspex bottom to it rather than mesh which is something to think about concerning how a drainage system would work.

I think the best thing to do would be wait untill you get to where your going and then setup rather than get one now and worry about transporting it later. Although I'd imagine it would be ok transporting it, I don't know the laws about how or where on a plane though.
