I've had my cham for about a month now and I still havent seen him drink, but hes doing fine so im assuming hes getting it somehow, through food or just when im not about to see. So I wouldn't worry too much unless you start to see signs.

Also what sort of cage are you going for? The one I have has a solid perspex bottom to it rather than mesh which is something to think about concerning how a drainage system would work.

Yeah best thing seems to be have nothing on the bottom, My chameleon has never been on the floor of teh enclosure as far as I know. I have a few paper towels to absorb water from the dripper but thats it.
