Before you purchase anything just browse around, you will find many breeders with amazing stock for sale, they are highly respected and offer very healthy robust animals for a very reasonable price. One perfect example is Jim at the chameleon company, who routinely sells chams starting as low as...

    Don't I feel stupid...

I'd only feel a little foolish if it was a veiled chameleon...those are pretty impossible to incorrectly sex haha...moral of the story at least you got the eggs safely laid!

    Is this possible???

There is no debate over the cross breeding of panther locales. There is one group of people that believe that the lines should remain separate so that when purchasing a new chameleon there is no grey area as to what your chameleons genetics are, and then there is the group of people who believe...

how much should a chameleon to cost

I would agree, generally the really nice blue Be's tend to fetch the highest price. But as always it does depend on the breeder, and on the quality of their chams!

    chameleon question

I personally do not have any experience feeding Waxworms, and I might be completely wrong, but I am almost positive that a member of these forums recommended staying away from Wax worms, according to this person there is a risk of impaction from them? Someone please correct me if I am wrong, I...

how long should i keep my chams basking light on for?

I agree with Elizadots...matching their light cycle with the natural light cycle is very important I believe. Adjusting the on and off times over the course of the year to match the changing sunrise/sunset times will probably be better for your chameleon in the long run.

    Is this possible???

I think this is the last thing this community need is another attempt at a new hybrid species. I really hope that this mating does not result in offspring. Accidents do happen, and hopefully that was what this was, but I think that we, as a whole, need to do a much better job of monitoring...

    panther breeding

Panther chams are abundantly available all across the US with probably hundreds, if not thousands of breeders. There is no secret to raising panther babies, except for the fact that the majority of people who begin breeding quickly change their minds about the thought of breeding for profit...

I want to hold my panther

If you want a pet to hold, get a dog or cat lol. Chams really do best when they aren't messed around with...sure some tolerate handling better than others, but really I can imagine none of them really enjoy being touched or grabbed.

    Veiled chameleon breeding help!

Haha, well I guess this is just one of those situations where we have to agree to disagree. The removal of the visual barrier is a method I have used for many years with great success, and in my opinion greatly reduces the risk of an attack when attempting to pair chameleons for breeding.

    Veiled chameleon breeding help!

I made the suggestion to the OP to place the chameleons next to one another because he stated that the female was receptive to mating, but the male was either overly aggressive in his attempt to breed, or possibly with the intent on injuring the female. Placing them in separate cages where they...

    Veiled chameleon breeding help!

My suggestion, and you may have already done this, put their cages next to one another and remove any visual barriers, and leave them alone for a couple days, this might allow the two of them to become comfortable with one another without the threat of an attack. Another suggestion I would...

If you are looking for WC's I think it might be a good idea for you to speak to Jim at The Chameleon Company, he imports and often has WC's available for sale on his website. He also comes very highly regarded by many people for the quality of his chameleons. Be warned tho, dealing with WC's...

How much for a panther chameleon?

Quality and lineage play a bit of a roll in chameleon pricing...I would also suggest holding onto your babies as long as you can. One of the advantages of holding onto your babies until they hit 3-4 months is you get to see the colors begin to come in, and if you have some real stunners you...

    Panther chameleon breeding project!

I did not recommend buying something that says "reptile" on it, i merely pointed out that the cost for his clutch would be very dependent on the products he chose to buy. For me the fixture is not nearly as important as the bulb that goes in it. As for the the amount of time to take care of...
