With wood, because you will probally use small pieces like 1x2's they will warp a little even just from the humidity change in the store to your house. they will never seal up like a nice screen cage.

I have a cham that came to me with the same issue. I figure she injured it. Even with the problem, 8 mths later, shes doing great. Hope everything works out for ya.

I would seal it. it will make it much easier to clean, and seal little pores which may be breeding grounds for bacteria.

They are super easy to raise, and dont stink. However, because they dont move like crickets, some of my chams dont go after them, especially when i cup feed.
