Thanks for the input! When I mentioned "fighting," I was referring to the mating being rough with her while breeding. My friend told me that he thinks I'll think he's hurting her when they're mating and stop them. So I guess that's what I was questioning. So you're saying is that if she...
Can anyone add any input about the actual mating? Even if I wait until I confirm that his male is healthy and free of any illnesses, I'll still have the same questions/concerns :o
Good point, that was another thing I thought of right after I posted this. I'll wait and I could get a fecal done on him as well in the meantime. I'll talk to my friend tomorrow and get some more information about where he got this male. This is why I posted looking for some advice instead of...
He looks AWESOME. I wanna see him in person, let's take our panthers out for a playdate! Just kidding, I'm sure they wouldn't like each other haha. But yeah he looks great. Really nice pics.
I'm almost afraid to post this because of the other thread, but I have a couple questions about breeding veileds that I hope will just be answered so I can decide whether or not to go through with this :D
I have done a TON of research and I read this forum daily but I'm still kind of uncertain...
What is your red light sitting on? That whole set up looks like a fire waiting to happen with with the blanket. I would definitely scrap the red light. What are you temps like? I didn't see them posted.
I knew I shouldn't have clicked that while I was eating lol. ;) But it was definitely a great video, and neat to see it close up like that. Nice camera!
The reflection thing is a myth. A lot of people in the UK use glass and their chameleons aren't stressed out or dead from seeing their reflections. I prefer screen, but it depends on your climate and this cage is fine for a small baby.
I would also suggest getting rid of the waterfall and...
The anole will stress the chameleon out and/or the chameleon will just eat the anole. Don't put any other animals in with a chameleon.
I use Natural Chemistry De Flea Reptile Relief and spray around the base of the plants. This seems to work and is safe for reptiles, as it is a spray for...
So she laid her eggs, covered them up, and appeared to be done. But now she is the same color pattern as she was before.
This is what she looks like today:
What does this mean?
I feed my leopard geckos a variety. They eat mealworms, crickets, dubias, and occasionally hornworms (when they get really big and none of the chams want them anymore). My girls are pretty huge/fat though, so they'll eat almost anything I put in front of them.
I'm on several gecko forums...
I didn't make her have eggs! Lol she did it to herself
Kinda makes me wish I had bred her. What if all of them hatched and I had 41 little versions of her? Could you imagine 41 tiny angry chams? Awww that would be so cute until they were big enough to collectively bite me :D
