Whats his source of water Melissa ?(see I remembered! :)) Increasing the moisture content of your gutload will improve that considerably too, lots of leafy greens and some fruits do wonders! :)

It doesn't hurt to have you dripper running in the cage for atleast a few hrs a day to provide the lizard ample opportunity to drink. :)

Could be he just likes the plants. If they're safe list plants I wouldnt worry much, sounds like hes enjoying his new enviroment. You know they 'taste' their surroundings too. Might be just seeing what this interesting plant is. :)

When the mister goes off, does it saturate all parts of the cage? If you can arrange it, it might be a good idea to ensure only one side or the other gets rained on, leaving one side dry. Remember, it dosent rain 5 times everyday in nature. :) Did you notice the spot developing or not till it...
