I just called the Houston SPCA and reported animal abuse at the pet store where i got my Jackson at. they keep the chameleons in a glass tank with a bowl of water and sand for the substrate. the spca said they will send someone out to investigate plus check out all the other critters that are...

maybe you could report such things to the spca as animal cruelty and demand that something be done for the welfair of the chameleon

aren't american walking sticks poisonous? the large females put out some type of chemical defense that is pretty nasty

they need to be in seperate habitates or they will stress out!

all the people in the pet stores know is that they want to make a sale... do some online research and some research on here in the search command. there are lots of sites with some good info. and get that cham to a vet... work out a payment plan with the vet if you need to! Good Luck!

as long as you don't touch him he should get used to you and will approach... provided you have a treat for him, but if you do start touching him he will continue to crawl away

i would suggest free ranging and train to eat from a cup.... you don't want crickets and or other little bugs loose in your apartment. they like it kind cool and would need multiple misstings daily. Make sure your managment office does not do surprise bug spraying... you will come home to a dead...

black aluminum screen would work fine... fiberglass would not be a good choice.. crickets eat it then cham eats cricket... not good
