reality
I understand what you are saying about the "four months" , chameleons ontario.
In actuality , after checking my dates, the whole mating and laying process is more like six months. Yes i definitely care about her health and appreciate your concern. Thanx

They are panther eggs. This is her third clutch in approx. four months . she was mated all three times. The first two clutches were buried and very healthy. She dug a hole on the side of a planter then just dumped them on the dirt beside the planter. At this point i am going to incubate them and...
eggs
They have only been there for less than a day so no air sack has developed. they are very white and look great otherwise. She is doing great and has turned into a real pro with the egg laying. Her third clutch!! She now is going to have a rest for the summer (maybe, depending on retained...
I woke up today to find dirt all over the place and a bunch of fertile eggs on the bottom of my gals enclosure. Afew of them have little dents. Will these disappear (or rehydrate) when i place them in moist vermiculite? Thanx
Stephen
Lately my chams have been spending a couple of hours a day on the flat surface of the bottom of my enclosure. This is a new thing and should i be concerned?Thanx
Any input on the exo-terra reptile systems with the glass front doors and screen top. I was thinking that would be ideal for newborns.Possibly take out the backing and place it on the bottom???

water
It might be a hassle, but i drilled a 4" hole in the middle of my enclosure. Gluing a piece of screen underneath and a funnel to direct the water, voila,no more water problem. (a container under the funnel of course)

After upgrading some of my pets condos, I have been left staring at this empty one which would make a fantastic vivarium. I am going to do some research and probably jump in.

where do i hang my hat
Originally from Montreal (yea, french) now live in Oakville Ontario Canada
(20 miles from toronto, far enough but just close enough from a major city)
Drainage
I drilled a 4 inch hole in the middle of the PVC board ,then glued a piece of aluminum screen and a funnel underneath. Under that i place a large deli cup that gets drained evey morning
M.h.
I have used higher wattage M.H. and it was no problem getting a ballast from a hydroponics, but i have not seen one for a 50 or 100 watts. Any ideas?
Canadian weather
Yea right now it is unbearably cold. Cant wait for 5 months when it gets enbearably hot and humid!!!! Why do we live here again?
Are you folks in sunny california and Florida jealous of all the time, energy and money we spend all winter keeping our chams comfortable...
rush
As i live in Rush territory (toronto),i have seen them many times. They still rock. From late seventies to early eighties they played every New years with Max Webster. The Grateful dead did it for me for 112 shows!!Man i miss them. I just realized i am getting old.Yipes!
I believe after a while those plants will not be able to handle all the water draining into them.No offence but i learned the hard way and trying to save you some aggravation! A circular hole covered with a screen and draining into a bucket works wonders.

I have 2 adult panthers, a jacksons and a constant itch for expanding my zoo! If i was around all day to mist them it would be difficult financially for me to spoil them the way I do. And i would just piss them off anyway.I am starting to build my own condos and i have the room (54 eggs...
