    Cleaning out your cage.

I happen to be one of the buyers at That Pet Place and I actually buy all the hagen products that we carry. That specific product is called the exo-terra explorarium. If you type in explorarium at our website www.thatpetplace.com all three sizes will pop up for you. If I remember correctly...

    Home Depot Chameleon Cage

Great looking cages. I can tell your much better at building than I am. You can see a pic of my cages in the other link asking to see some setups. The one thing that caught my eye about your cages though, was how far the fluorescents were away from the tree. I know I use reptisun 5.0 and they...

    Your setups?

Here is a pic of a couple of my cages. Vinyl flooring is what I use for the bottom of the cages. I make the back legs of the cages 1/2" longer than the front legs so the water runs out the front into a gutter that I custom built onto the cage. Its working quite well so far. Sorry I dont have any...

    Chewing ...

Thanks Brad. Your right, alot of times it is by mistake that I see them eating a leaf. However, I've seen them just decide that they felt like a leaf for dinner. I think its definately more common in veileds, as I notice my veileds do it more often then my panthers. But I think sometimes even...

    Chewing ...

I find it quite common for some of my chams to chew on some of the leaves from the live plants that are in their cages. I'd have to say mosty I catch them with ficus leaves hanging out of their mouth. However, grape vine bark probably isn't the best thing for them. Their is a good chance that if...

    New Guy Here.

Thats an awsome video. It does a great job of giving you a decent amount of info on a lot of different chams. Definately well worth the money.

my chameleon does not want to keep his eye open

Sounds like things are looking up. I'd still keep an eye....on that eye....no pun intended.

    eye cleaning or worse?

Sounds normal to me. My chams do this when they're cleaning their eyes. I must say though, I also was quite freeked out when I first noticed this behavior in my chameleons.

my chameleon does not want to keep his eye open

Sounds exactly like what goes on with the chams I've seen do this. They'll open it if they have to, but they'll close it as soon as they can after that. How long has he been doing it? Are they together? If he's been keeping it closed for more than a week, I'd take him to the vet and have him...

    New Guy Here.

I'd have the same fears because I like to mist maybe a bit more than needed just to be sure. It would be nice if there was some kind of plastic peg board out there. Does anybody know if there is? Nice setup. I'm sure they're lovin it. Who needs ficus when you have a plastic setup like that...

my chameleon does not want to keep his eye open

As far as eye problems go, I've had them in a couple of the panthers that I've had over the years. Just for the record, it is a fairly common problem in chameleons. I've made a few visits to my vet because of this and i do recommend you take him to the vet in case there is a major problem...
