Ficus elastica do get alot of sap though. I would try get another kind first but its safe for the chameleons :)

Well I thought every ficus plant was on the safe list ? I use ficus golden king as they look much better and have thicker stems/branches.

Hi all Ive just found the tinyest what I think is a spider at the top of my cage. Im not sure if it was a spider as it was so tiny a mm in length or so. Does anyone know if it was a spider or what else it would have been? It was too small to take a pic.

I think its a metalic smell now you say it.

I notice it when the lights are on I think.bi have a 5.0 uvb bulb and it smells around them .

In the last 2 months or so I have a real ficus plant in my chameleons cage. I have noticed a smell only at the top of his cage since the plant went in. Could it be the gasses the plant leta off or something else. The cage ia always clean ? Any info appreciated :)
