ok, so to answer the questions about his diet............. jack's staple food is crickets. this is what he gets on a daily basis. i put about 10 crix in a cup, dusted, and leave them in there for him to eat at his leisure. more often than not, there are at least 5 crix left over from the day...

i have to give my sick cham medicine, and i use a guitar pick ( or something like it) and gently put it between his lips at the front of his mouth, GENTLY push a little bit. jack always opens his mouth, and doesnt seem too stressed.

we're not sure if he even has kidney problems.......thats the problem i guess. the vet pretty much said that if none of the meds work for him, that he probably has kidney problems.......ugh its so hard to decide what is right. he has been on albon now for 2 weeks, and still has another 2 weeks...

also.........new swelling all over his body.....casque, neck has hard spots,,,,,,back knee joint enlarged,,,,hes getting so swollen, cant hang on to anything :(

he has edema............bad............he has been to the vet, and i think she is wrong.........searching for an option myself........

thank you eric, for all of your advice. taking a step back, i think you're right. its easy to get caught up in all the ways you can try and fix him, but in doing so, maybe doing more bad than good. it cant have been easy on him to be on all those meds, and you're right, perhaps that is the cause...

agreed............even call and ask a vet first........i gave my cham baytril ( only 3 smal doses) and he stopped eating immediately, and became super disoriented, and he hasnt stopped doing that yet..........have a look at my post, perhaps some of the advice from the senior members can help...

i called all the reptile vets close to me before deciding on this one........none of them have an actual certification in reptiles............just an interest in exotic pets, with experience through their medical practice.........but i am going to consider taking him elsewhere for a 2nd...
