Found this one when I was cataloging my photos...
Let them turn dark, then put loose eggs in the fridge lowest shelf in the back. After 3 months of refrigeration, take them out, smear some non-toxic glue in the center on another petri dish, sprinkle some eggs, follow incubation procedures to hatch them.

A hardware cloth will not block any uv due to the gaps between the wires. It's more like a study net and nothing like a cloth. Screen material blocks some but not enough to diminish the Sun's benefits on a clear day.

In my last batch I was able to witness the hatching of 1.5 year old eggs. The went in the fridge as soon as they turned dark. They hatched successfully, but not all of the eggs seem to have made it. I read somewhere that hatching rate was increased by at least 3 months of refrigeration. My one...
