I love the 2-part diet, it adds a little flavour variety to the diet. There are instructions on the package to mixing with and without crickets. You are supposed to mix by weight. The premixed one is great but I think it is mixed for a cricket free diet.
My veiled cham really hates when I mist, he will always run up to the farthest point in the cage and puff himself out. I use hot water and it comes out as a warmish mist. He drinks from his dripper (I assume) when I'm not there because his urates are white. I mostly just mist for humidity.
Beautiful girl! I got a male, so he's not quite as stripey ;) But still super cool it watch, they change colours right before your eyes! Best of luck with the trio!
I'm really starting to get in to Uroplatus. I dig the darker Phantasticus for sure, but they are both nice.
I just picked up a uroplatus lineatus myself this weekend, very interesting gecko, phantasticus and frimbriatus are high on my list too :D
Hopefully you get some eggs out of them ;)
My male veiled is probably about 9 months old too. Usually when he is hungry he comes down to the bottom of the cage where I place his cricket tub. He sometimes goes down there later in the day after his feeding, I am never sure whether I should give him more or not. Today he ate a medium...
The ones I always find at the craft stores & dollar stores are dyed. I bought a couple and rinsed them off and the dye didn't run, but I was able to wipe it off with a cloth...what do you think? Useable?
I agree, not only is that terrible advice, but you didn't even mention sterilization etc.... I actually can't believe yous suggested that.
Scrap that advise and see a vet.
