Some of us think it makes them more tolerant (not enjoying), but since chams are so individualistic, its hard to prove. You'd almost need to use statistical analysis to figure that out.
Sure, now that I'm not looking for one they are spring up everywhere! :)
Nice looking Ambanja. We oughta cross lines. If not for us, then for the deprived souls like Will. :)

Ok, here we go
Ok, I managed to go back to the source photo and didn't reduce it as much. Why do digital cameras take such huge photos anyway?
If you go to this link: http://www.chameleonplantation.com/blog/?p=47
then scroll to the bottom picture on the page, there is a larger version of...
Definitely joking. My dry sense of humor gets me in trouble some times. Dodolah's point is valid, there is definitely some optical pixelation going on there. I think thats the dominant method for purple. But I think if you look close at his scales on the picture some are individually purple...
Hmmm...my computer screen works the same way. I guess technically, there are no purple colors on the computer either...just alternating red and blue. :)
His stripes can be almost all blue. They can also be almost all a solid dark grape jelly color. Most times its in between. When he...
Kind of like a cross between George Clooney and Brad Pitt. For some reason, People Magazine's 25 most beautiful people keeps skipping over me. I think its because I'm not famous. Its a crock if you ask me...
I'll tell you. I've seen so many who want a Veiled male vs. a female. They don't understand that the females have a subtle beauty that the purists can appreciate. I think Veiled females are gorgeous.
I would to it by ratio. The number of certain species, or imports, can be reasonably "nailed down". Then, you could compare the ratio of sales of those known quantities, to the unknown quantities.
For example, if the known number of imported Panther chameleons is 1000 per year, and a...
Thanks. Here's a picture of another one we had in the past:

The picture is crummy, but he was purple too. They are out there, but hard to find these days. I looked a year before I found mine. There are some cool sites on-line that show...
I have one. Here's a link to how I got him that has pictures: http://www.chameleonplantation.com/blog/?p=47
All of the pictures are the same animal taken at different times or with different cameras. Mine does just the opposite than you're saying. In his relaxed state, he has purples...
Amen. I have told people that raising chameleons is part science, part Zen. You just get a feel. My wife has never cracked a book, but in our house, she's known as the chameleon whisperer.
There's so many opinions on this that you won't get a straight answer even in this forum. It wouldn't want to stay on your lap, but maybe on your shoulder, the top of your head, or the back of the couch. Opinions vary on whether you can handle them or not, and different types of chameleons are...
I had some once. The male I got was all over the place! He was constantly moving. I think they need a bigger cage based on that, but this is a limited experience.
Yeah, it kind of lulls them into a false sense of security. :)
"Wait a minute...whats that big thing at the on the roof of my house? Harold, where did you go? What the hell is happening?! Run for your life!
zzzzziiiiipppp!!!!
My two cents
Just read the thread and want to chime on on some points:
1. It would be pretty hard to document that health is improved by cross breeding. How would you even do that without introducing enough error in your study to make the results suspect?
2. While there is no evidence...
Check this guy out. Our cousin sent in a photo of her male Veiled 9 days after getting it from me. He's a monster! He was the biggest one we had and was a hold back, but since she was a family, we gave him to her on New Years Eve. In the right (later) photo, he's only 8 weeks old.
