Werners is finally giving birth
I got her when she was gravid so I'm really hoping she was bred before but I do see little yellow / green egg looking things I'm assuming are infertile eggs.
I'm hoping someone can tell me if these are eggs and if this is a sure sign she wasn't bred.
I had a male werners in an exo terra as I have read is ok because it keeps in the humidity, I also have a female in one. The male died. He was eating but then just stopped. I didn't know how they were so I figure that could be the issue or something. They both have the same plants in their tanks...
I love this forum. Thanks everyone. I have fly cultures and I am working on getting the rest of the feeders. I do only feed crickets but tomorrow I will go get some meal worms. As for the lip I will keep an eye on it and feed my crickets more stuff for vitamin C. As for a vet I live in Canada...
Yes I know they give live births but I'm not sure if she is that gravid and why she stopped eating. I know a lot of people keep them for 3 months then they die so I'm a bit worried. I have kept my mellers for almost a year now. And I have had her since February so I thought I was good.
Hello I have a werners three horned female chameleon who has stopped eating and seems lethargic. I have had her since February and she used to eat all her crickets and hunt them down, how she will eat very few and only if I hand feed her. She is misted by a mist king several times a day, and her...
Hello, I was wondering how people secured their branches and dowel rods. I put a thumb tack in each end of the rods but they tend to spin. I need a solution. Thanks
Good luck, some chameleons are just not handle able. My old veiled would not let me handle him at all. I have panthers and they are also hit and miss. Some let me handle them and some don't. My mellers chameleon that are known to be aggressive has no problem when I handle him at all. It all...
The male werners is sleeping on the ground in the corner and the front of the tank. He is very active and climbs all over during the day but is sleeping on the ground. Anyone find this weird?
You defiantly need to dust your crickets every meal. I dust mine with calcium plus D3 and every third time a calcium supplement without D3. I have a mellers and 2 werners which are mountane species like your Jackson's. I use 2 fixtures for the heat and uvb bulb. However in saying that I don't...
Hey I tried to breed my panthers a little while ago and the female was not receptive. I waked to long and that triggered her to lay infertile eggs (26). She layer them Sunday night. I have been giving her extra food and water and she is doing quite well. I don't want to stress her or the male...
They would mostly be for the werners to hold humidity. I wanted a pothos in there however it is the toxic pothos. The vines get nice and thick that's why I would put them in. My panthers have fake vines and dowel rods and fake plants. The guy I bought them off of had them for just under half a...
Hello, I currently bought some plants that are toxic If enough is eaten. I am on a dart frog forum and people said they they wouldn't be worried about the plants I posted as the reptiles don't eat the plants but be more worried about things on the plant it's self and make sure I wash them. I...
Thanks. I'll see what they are like this weekend or the next. Unfortunately as I just got them I'm not sure how far along she is but I'm 99% sure she is gravid. I'll post pics tomorrow if I have time. They are a great species.
Also I am keeping them so they can't see each other as I do with my panthers. Is this required for this species as well? I'm assuming so but just thought I better ask
Thanks a bunch guys! They are at home doing great and the female is defiantly gravid. So Carl are you saying I should try breeding her now for the next breeding or wait. I don't want to over breed and I don't want to stress her out when she is gravid. Again I am new with these guys. I do have a...
