So I'm considering either building or buying then modifying a large mesh cage to anticipate Valcron's growth ( I finally named him:D). However I still haven't been able to figure out how I'm going to keep the humidity up when its fully meshed. any thoughts? I plan on making a drainage system on...
ahh i wish mine would eat from my hand. ive tried multiple times but he will only eat them out of a cup and they gotta be squirmin like crazy! I only he could trust me a wee bit more then hopefully some more progress can be established
I went to buy small crickets and when I got home to pour them in the cricket container there was a medium to large fully black one with it. It looks to unhealthy to feed to my cham so I just going to kill it!
Sweet! I don't know why I stress so much about it haha:D since I installed that dripper my humidity has finally gone up without going back down because of misting. I still mist though. But hopefully now its just twice maybe three times a day. They look be about the same size except yours has...
Yup there was a bump! So i know hes a stubborn male. its weird cause he will go green, to a paleish green and have those markings like in the pictures. When i pick him up he's also cold. id imagine its because they cant retain their heat but sometimes hes really cold and i never see him basking...
I think he's about 3 months? I unfortunately don't fully know. I know he will bring out all of his stripes when he's crawling on my bed. But so far he's only been green and black (almost always green till out cage which is where his stripes will occasionally appear)
So I was installing a dripper system that gave am impression of rainfall. I took my little guy out and he had weird black marks on his body appear, then I think they started to disappear. I want to assume its just his patterns starting to come though but I could another opinion
Oh that's a good idea:) i think my make one out of a crank power supply. get it all juiced up and not worry about it for a while. will be quite a project:p just wish there was an easier/quicker way to go about all the silly electrics of it. Something that could retain its power like an...
I've been reading up on some things and decided it would be best to make an emergency kit/box for my chameleon. We have power outages now and again but i want to make sure he could survive x amount of days without his proper setup. Is there anything i should keep in mind when building this...
haha thats awsome! my little one still doesnt fully like me and the only way he does is if i hunt for him and pull him out, then he doesnt wanna go back in his cage. just give him plenty of trust and im sure he will grow fond of you
Unfortunately I can't do a drainage system yet cause the cage has a glass bottom but when he gets bigger I'm probably going to build a mesh cage or buy one and mod it up! I have been very unlucky finding a misting system:(
well i think im going to lay some paper towels down on the bottom to soak it all up and just replace it every day. i might have to go with the pothos though:p
that's wonderful news! haha i was kinda worried about his ribs showing but then again hes still small and its only when he's stretching or eating. seems to be eating plenty, still gotta buy my dripper though:P took out the waterful. what would you say for the humidity level based on his size...
Yea i cant find any smaller branches at pet stores so i just bought the jungle vines. will probably go outside and break some off... boil them for like 5 minutes and put it in. I want to put up a video camera next to his cage to see what he does all day. haha:)
Im might be worrying myself over nothing but does he look healthy? He had a little eye problem after i gave him nice shower and later on got kind of pale yesterday after he was all warmed up
