is worms beter to give after molting?

I've heard that too. It does make some sense I suppose. Before the shell of the mealworm has time to harden it might be easier to digest. I certainly wait for white ones when feeding giant mealworms to my chams but it's not really possible with normal mealworms so I just don't feed those too...

When I tried to enter the competition a while ago, I think maybe my image was too large or something. I'll have to have a look into that, I wanna plaaaay! lol

    Bending over backward for dinner!

In my quest for the best tongue shooting image I can get, I captured this the other day....... I didn't know the normal looking tip of the tongue actually bends right back over and the sticky bit is then presented! How interesting is that ! Yet again my beautiful little chams surprise me...

    Last shed's skin

Being a fairly new keeper I was a little hesitant to keep pushing the humidity. I'll have another go with a shower and the brush I think. It doesn't sound like there are any immediate health risks or anything then? I'd have thought as long as the nostrils and eyes are good it's not a huge...

    Double jointed

Aaaw thanks :) I'm pretty sure this one is the male. Niether of my chams have an obvious spur but of the two this one does have a teeny tiny little skin fold looking bit that could be a spur. I love my chams so much! lol :D

    Double jointed

I'd be very interested to see a chameleon's bone structure image or video after noticing some of the uncomfortable looking poses my two get themselves into! lol Being all double jointed is obviously a handy thing to be when you climb a lot! Can anyone link to anything that might show the joint...

    Last shed's skin

My (fairly newly accuired) veiled chameleons seem to retain a little skin on and around thier heads and casques after a shed. Little Phylis my female has had this happened on her latest shed and it's still there nearly two weeks later. I've been careful to maintain proper humidity. I've showered...

    dwarf white woodlice needed asap

I would imagine that's because you only have one post under your belt. You don't say where you are in the world. I breed the small white woodlice you're probably thinking of and I'm in the UK. Why are you after them? To use as custodians?

    UK Sand

I have some sand here that I use (mixed with compost) for my bonzai tree and carnivorous plants. I don't suppose I can judge it's safety for chameleons just by looking at it or handling it can I? I do remember what chinchilla sand felt like from when I was a kid. Vey silky feeling stuff. Is...

    UK Sand

Are there any UK forum members here that can suggest an online place where I can get suitable sand for my Veiled chamelion please? I know I need a non lime "soft" play type sand but I'm not sure where to start really ! I have various places near me where I could potentially purchase suitable...

how do you clean a chameleon cage??

I've been using something called F10 for yeeeears. Look it up. It has almost magical properties! It doesn't smell at all. It's almost clear and the ratio is about 10ml to a pint of water for spraying and a bit stronger for soaking things. It is UTTERLY safe. I've used it (as directed by a herp...

This is why people kill chameleons!

Information about snake keeping is much the same. I'd LOVE to see a lot of that utter utter crap taken off the internet somehow :( I left a snake forum once because I'd spent a LOT of time helping people out with snake care which I love to do. BUT... quite a lot of the newer keepers would...
