    Need Help

It was a respiratory culture that was taken of her. It was basically like a swab that they rubbed inside her mouth and sent to the lab. The bacteria were what came out in the results. I have not been able to get a fecal done on her because she does not really poop that often (like once a week I...

    Need Help

I know very little about her previous husbandry and it is my guess that the previous owner did nothing about her being sick. Carnivore care does contain vitamin A, D3 and phos. -I've attached a pic of her feces that I took today after I got home from work.

So I bought a female panther chameleon from someone who moved away but it turns out she is sick. She sleeps the whole day and will only wake up when I mist her and ocassionally. Gravid Panther

I have a couple of questions, has she been paired? have you provided a laying bing? and have you monitered her weight? I believe it's normal that gravid females will sometimes be dark and other times pink. The best way to know is by monitering their weight every couple of weeks.

    Nosy Mitsios?

As for the reasons you dont see more cb offspring. This locale seems to be alot like the Anks. You have to simulate the seasons to get the males to breed. Its a little more complicated than just throwing two panthers together and letting them get it on. I've bred other locales and Im trying to...

    Shipping my first chameleon.

I would recommend using a reptile/cloth bag so that way the animal has a little more room to move. You also need to check the weather on both ends to be sure that it will not be too hot, now that its summer, or if it is you should plan on using a cold pack. Also you'll need foam liner to cover...

    Nosy Mitsios?

Do you know wha happened to all the ones that were out there? There seems to be near to none now, at least in the US or maybe people are really keeping them to themselves lol. I've seen some ad from past year and 09 that they were still being sold constantly, but I wonder why they have not been...

    Nosy Mitsios?

I've read previous post and noticed that there was a Mitsio boom in 2004-05 when they were imported and bred in the US. However, now they seem to be very few or at least not as many as before, I was wondering what has happen to all the different bloodlines of mitsios, as far as I know no one is...

    Wild Caught

Why do wild caught chameleons tend to have so many parasites? Is it because of what they eat in the wild? or because they get infected during importation? I've tried searching for some answers but have not found much.

paper towel for a substrate is no good IMO

I think that bare bottom cages are best, although in order to aviod spill and water all over the place you will need a drainage set up.
