as for your cham finding its 'bed' about an hour before lights out, it is completely normal, my cham does it and Ive read about lots of peoples chams doing that.
my female veiled plays food games with me all the time. she will love one thing one day and not eat it for another month. One thing that usually snaps her out of it is a few juicy hornworms or any kind of flying insect if you can get your hands any. I have also observed that my cham seems...
I've got an extra exo terra terrarium that I would like to make one of those awesome frog habitats you are talking about so hopefully this post gets a reply.
I'm not an expert by all means but it sounds like some kind of URI. Can you get your cham to a vet today? If it is an URI you will need some meds to help clear it up.
gutloading with dog/catfood is not recommended because of the high levels of animal proteins they contain are not good for your cham and can cause health issues such as gout. Stick with fresh veggies/fruits/dark leafy greens. do a search of gutloading and you will find a pile of good gutload...
hello there, welcome to the forums. I am from Stratford but often work in/around London. You will find anything you need to know about chameleon husbandry on this site. When I first got my female veiled I was just doing what the petstore and a few various websites said to do (which was quite...

wow my 14/15 month female veiled must be a big girl. On average over the last few months her weight is approx 167 grams. She doesnt appear to be over weight and is definately not overfed. I found a thread on here about veiled cham weights a while back using the search function you may find...
welcome to the forums. I am from Stratford (approx 2 hours from Widsor) so we are pretty much neighbors lol. its too bad that cham nation doesnt have any baby veileds right now because that is where I got my f veiled and she is really healthy and has a pretty good temperment. keep your eye on...
I use a mistking with 2 nozzles without a drainage hole. both nozzles are on the same side and I have it set up that a small plastic tub, (tub the lettuce came in) that is covered with screen so cham cant possibly fall in, the majority of water ends up in the tub which I take out and drain...
all you husbandry sounds pretty good but your gutloading could use some improvement. Try using other greens (mustard greens, kale etc) as lettuce is low in nutrients. avoid tomatoes, avoid brocolli and spinach as they can prevent your cham from absorbing calcium. what type of thermometer are...
check with one of our site sponsors Chameleon Nation ( www.trinitychameleons.com ), they are from west of Toronto and have some great chams. I believe they have some NosyB's. I got my veiled from them and she has been super healthy since the day I got her.
let the stockpiling and hoarding of incandescent lightbulbs begin. lol. I have a f veiled and can keep perfect temps (82 to 83 in basking spot) using two 27 watt (6500k which is good for plant growth) fluorescent bulbs in a double hood.
