I am going to be picking this baby up tomorrow and start on the transformation. The space is just about 5ft tall by 50 inches at widest point and 25 inches at most depth.
Going to cut the doors and do plexi glass front with a new water proof coat i found that 100% water resistant then...
i had a adult iguana once that would get out and go under my bed sheets. Found out the hard way once... well i didnt personally but the girl i was dating.. found out i had an iguana the hard way. He would escape his out door cage some times and find him laid out on the fence.
Arcadia for the win, not sure if its that, my lil guys diet, or what but he is growing much faster then I could imagine. Great color. I will only buy Arcadia.
I have had him for about two weeks now and he started with all most no color two weeks ago. Just some light shades and a little yellow. In just two weeks his blue bars are coming out good, reds, greens, and yellows.
He wasn't to happy when i took him out this morning because last time i took...
i got plants and put them around my cage. Makes it look even nicer and the leaves have stopped the overspray. I was getting it on my walls which i could not have because i live in a brand new home. Cant justifiy devalueing a home for a pet. Even though my dogs destroyed my back yard lol. But i...
i never understood how people could own pets and not take care of them. With proper vet care, and housing care. I made the mistake once but i was 8 years old, but thats when my mom steeped in an took my sick iguana to the vet. found out we had no UVB. So we gave him shots for a month. had the...
i maybe wrong but, feeding it while holding a container or getting it to climb on a stick that your holding. Just take it slow and work on it everyday with giving it as little stress as possible. I had an INSANELY aggressive 5 foot iguana that I tamed so its possible.
Even though two...
how large is your cage though. At that age you will probably need close to a full size cage or with in a couple months. That is why i got a baby because i want to see the color that explodes and watch him develope. When i buy my female i will probably buy an adult though to get breeding going...
i used zip ties which works GREAT, but after i did it all and thought about it magenets are the way to go. If i have to remove anything from the cage its going to be a pain.
like the PVC idea should make cleaning easier... I just did my first encloser and zip tied EVERY thing so nothing would fall. I got done and then thought about how much cleaning is going to be a nightmare. GOod thing i dont plan on keeping it more then 5 months before i upgrade his cage lol...
i will post a video of what i did soon. Don't bother messing with lights and spending cash on lights.
Exo Terra has a lamp stand for like 12$ that is adjustable. It is made for glass cages but i drilled 6 holes in it and zip tied it to the cage. This allows me to adjust the height as needed...
i know allot of people put them in viv's glass cages and i am thinking of doing this after i get my panther set up complete. I have an old 60 gallon tank I want to convert to a viv. My question is though can pygme's live with dart frogs and gecko's?
It would be pretty humid in there also...
i have allot of mazineta on my property that I think I am going to go get this weekend. Just have to drive out to it. Then i believe bath it in vinegar and water to sterilize it and bake it.
its pretty heavy i think for the screen, but i all ready was able to take a sponge and easily clean it all up inside. This will only be for about 5 months. I am starting on the custom enclosure soon to transition him into. Which will be furniture quality.
