If you give him some time he will understand that they are a new treat. Mine love them ... so much so that I completely depleted my colony of the smaller ones of which they can eat (my chams are still just little babies 4 and 3 months old) so I am now waiting for the roaches to reproduce lol ...
water crystals
I ordered some water crystals on line like 3 packets that make a gallon each and it was about $7 I use that as well as oranges and other veggies.
I have cut out 90% of the lid and replaced it with screen I was just wondering because I think I used up all my small nymphs lol and now I am waiting on new births to feed my young Chams. I was just wondering if they were not producing due to humidity. I noticed I have at least 5 or 6 adult...
How do you all keep the humidity up for your roaches? I had to move them inside due to the cold and the heater is running in my house so the humidity is very low.
LOL My little guy, 3 month old veiled, grew some balls lately and for the first time last night he actually hissed, gapped and tried to bite me. Before that he was such a timid little guy. I kinda like the fact that he is starting to act more mature.
My 3 month veiled is a very picky eater too. I just switched to roaches and if they are not the smaller nymphs he turns his nose up at them. He just shed for the first time since I have had him so I assume he is eating well. I also just switched to cup feeding so I can keep a better track on how...
Ah cool thanks for the info ... also I just found this on YouTube it might help you Fluxlizard.

It shows this guy using a bio pod and vegtable scraps ...
Fluxlizard,
I think I have read some where that most of the the phoenix/repti worms that you get are starlized and unable to reproduce. I could be wrong but I too would love some information because my little veiled girl cham loves the acutal flys.
I have not had any either but on a side note I did have a few that turned black and I gave them to the crickets to eat ... well they ended up turning into flys but I thought they were wasps that got into my cricket carrier. I found out later that they did not sting or bite and ended up letting...
My dad gave me the idea of going to Lowes or some place like that and buying the framing used for screen windows and having them cut to size and pretty much put together like the DIY cage I have. I have not looked into the actual cost of doing such. But that might be a route for you?
Dubias. My wife hates them with a passion. But I have tried to tell her that once I have an active colony that it will be cheaper than buying crickets ... she still isn't buying it.
