    Question For Computer Gurus...

Ya mac does suck when it comes to compatibility with certain things. I have a brand new Windows Vista desktop as well, but just like every other PC I have owned, it is very slow and super susceptible to viruses. I think I figured out the problem, I got the videos to upload on to photobucket...

    Leaves Curling

I'm having no problems reading your posts so no need to worry :). The husk/sand mixture needs to receive lots of water throughout the day in order to be beneficial to the plant. It is not an ideal soil if you are only watering it every once in awhile, in fact I found it requires a good amount...

    A few Q's

It is normal for chameleons to not have much of an appetite during their shed. Give him a couple days and then he should start eating again.

    Color Change

The street-term used for this condition is called "fired-up". He is in fact "pissed" and is trying to be macho by showing off his colors; another sure sign that he is pissed is the hissing (do be cautious of biting, thats normally the next step they take). It is completely normal for a...

    Question For Computer Gurus...

In iPhoto it is saved as a movie and not as a picture, so it plays. When I drag it to the desktop it saves as a movie and also plays (in quicktime format). But when I got to upload it on photobucket or when I attach it to an email, it saves an an image and not as a video.

    Question For Computer Gurus...

I uploaded some videos on iPhoto from my digital camera. But whenever I try to upload them on another program (i.e. photobucket) or attach them to emails, they save as still images and not videos. Does anyone know what the problem is? I can play the video in iPhoto, but not anywhere else...

I just got back from Dr. James Sulliban's office at Aloha Animal Hospital. He knew loads about chameleons and did a tremendous job in answering my questions. He assured me that my verru was lean, but not unhealthy in terms of general appearance. He gave me two shots of fenbendazole/panacur...

    Leaves Curling

Does the plant have proper drainage (elevation; flow of water from the pot)? How often/long do you water it? The only major reasons I know of for why leaves curl up has to do with nutrient deficiency or watering problems (i.e. drainage). I came up with the mix of 50/50 husk and sand. All my...

    Leaves Curling

Husk and sand mix will prevent the plant from being overwatered, so you do not need to worry about adding to much water. Do you have any pictures of your plant? How close is it to your light sources?

    New Chams!

Congrats, I love the rudis species. Take it easy with the mealworms and if you can, feed sparingly or replace with silkworms, butterworms, roaches, etc.. I am sure you have done tons of research already, but here is a small blog entry on how I care for my rudis...

My setup, any advice would be greatly appreciated

Do you have any list of problems that are related to dark color? He may just be dark to absorb more of the light. I believe it is normal for a chameleon to display mostly dull colors while it is in it's cage. Thorough cleanings are always good, especially if your cage is noticeably dirty...

    Parasite Contamination

Ok thank you Jann. I will start the weekly cleaning when I start his Pancur treatment (Monday). He is infected with a nematode similar to roundworm and it can only pass through conaminated fecals. I do not believe the parasite is as dangerous as coccidia, but I will use the same ammonia...

    Parasite Contamination

When treating a chameleon for parasites, should I be cleaning the cage everyday? What do I do with the live plants, since the soil is most likely contaminated?
