Good to know and thanks again for the info. Gonna see if eBay UK has any in large quantities to buy as I think it will be hard to find many at this time of year here lol. If my chams ever decide to stop hating each other and breed, guess I can feed the nymphs off to the hatchlings :D
Hahaha!! :D
Thanks I'll have a look at that!
How do your chams take to eating them? Mine will often go off dubia for a while and it can be tricky to get them back to eating them again. I'm guessing it could be the same with the isopods seen as they look similar to juvi roaches lol?
Edit...
Has anyone ever bred the common woodlouse for feeding? I think the most common we have in the uk is called Oniscus asellus. I'm just really looking for more variety in my chams diet and if these breed as easy as roaches and a good feeder then I want to try my hand at these.
I already breed...
I order locusts online cause when I buy them from the shops here you only get 5 or 6 in a tub! But ordering online they always have crickets in them.
Crickets are totally banned in my house now lol there's always far too many escapees!
I was thinking of supers as they cant escape and I...
I'll be working away for a couple of weeks so my mum and girlfriend will be looking after the 3 chams. I'm in need of suggestions of what they can feed them whilst I'm gone. Locusts are banned in this house cause their are always crickets in with them that escape, dubia are out of the question...
Unfortunately there are no other rooms I could take them to :( I can only smell it close to where I put it but wondering if it could affect them from a few feet away because they are in screen enclosures
Ok so this is going to sound stupid but I was desperate and not thinking. A couple weeks ago I bought a bag of 200 locusts which contained a few crickets which got loose. They have been driving me and my family insane ever since cause they have got into the walls and we can't get to them.
So...
Sometimes she will show these colours for a while without actually being gravid, I don't know why. I'll have a check to see if I can feel any eggs tonight.
Just a couple of pics of my chams cages. The first one with my male panther and the third with my male vieled still need some work to them so suggestions welcome :p
My male vieled does the same lol. If I open his cage door he will either tur very bright and lunge and his at me or if I stand near to where he is basking he will sometimes turn dark with both eyes focused straight on me and follow my every move (obviously doesn't like me being near him) haha...
My female was showing bright orange receptive colours a couple days ago so introduced my male. They both gaped and he lunged for her so I quickly broke it up and put them back in their separate cages. She has been really dark ever since looking like her gravid colours, could it be she is still...
Mines an ambilobe and he is dark green with black/purple bars most of the time too. They are probably his resting colours. He only ever really shows his colours when hunting or free ranging but even then I've only ever seen him flare up properly twice lol, no need to worry some are just more...
