Just make sure if you get multiple ones that you properly sex them. I got mine 2 months ago and she is great, very friendly most of the time and eats ANYTHING. Starting with an adult would probably be easier, cant really handle the babies too much as they are fragile.
i found the larger one buried in the chow today as well (still green). I guess they are both pupating. The silks were nice enough for me to hand feed, something i wouldnt even consider with the hornworms lmao. Nasty looking things.
Ahh well originally I wanted just the hornworms for my bearded dragon, who laid eggs and I knew she would need more food to get back to normal size/weight. I had to get something else cuz the order had to exceed a certain amount to be valid so i just got the silkworms for my cham/dragons as...
I got the adult in June and she was supposedly in the pet store for 3 years before I took her home. Also I was told she was a male but i found out that was wrong cuz she laid eggs 2 weeks ago lmao. She was in good shape when I got her apart from missing a toenail. I also just got a new baby...
My bearded dragon ate 2/19 of her eggs when I uncovered them the next morning after she laid them. Was pretty disturbing to me she would eat her own eggs just hours after laying them =/
I bought hornworms and silkworms two weeks ago and I am down to 2 now after feeding them both to my dragons and cham. There was one on the surface of the remaining chow that looked normal and I found another buried under it and he isn't green anymore, IDk if it's dying or getting ready to turn...
For the chameleons its supposed to be calcium w/o D3 at most feedings. For dragons its calcium w/ D3 instead right? I keep reading that but I just wanna double check that it isright.
I just got silkworms from mulberry farms for my veiled cham. I got 3/4 of an inch and most are even smaller then that, your cham can easily handle those no doubt. My baby beardie who is even smaller than that made quick work of them too. No idea about phoenix worms though never used them..
I finally got my hornworms and silkworms today and surprisingly my cham was very hesitant to eat either of them. Maybe because both seemed half dead but idk. though after eating two silkies and a hornworm i dropped 3 crickets in and she tore them up as fast as usual. Which is weird because a lot...
Funny this topic was made because i found my cat trying to kill an escaped cricket last night. I stopped her and threw it back in with the others lol. She had mangled it though so it probably died today :(. One time I dropped my adult crickets while goin up the stairs and about 10+ got out and i...

That's a picture of her, she'll be in my possesion for 7 months tomorrow. Staple of mostly crickets with a couple of waxworms once a month or so. Gave her some flies this summer as well. But she mostly eats crickets for the most part
Ha that's crazy you let him that closeto your face. I get concerned when I got my bearded dragon on my chest and she looks up at me, I just thinks she is gonna just run up and bite my face one day -_-
I have a similiar problem because my enclosure is pretty big for such a small chameleon and the crickets do get lost in there. I just show her the cricket bucket ( which she does recognize very well) and show her that she's about to eat. She then starts coming down to the bucket but i drop the...
How many silkworms a day is good for a young chameleon? I ordered 100 3/4 of an inch silk worms from Mulberry farms and this is my first time using them. Everyone recommends them here but I never actually saw someone say how many are good for the chameleon in a day.
There's a big reptile store off of Jericho Turnpike in I think the town is Bel Rose... best selection I've seen reptile wise in NY so far. Pretty dam big store too, they got almost everything in there. Except chameleons :(
The pet store I frequent told me the same thing except it was about the mealworms, that they can still live in the intestine and eat their way out. I feed them to my bearded dragon though and it hasn't happened yet, She pretty much chews em up.
Wow... I just woke up and started feeding her what crickets I have left and I took one of her caves out of the tank where most of the clutch was laid apparently, and she ate two of her eggs right in front of me! Thankfully I think they were infertile but still wtf.... Some of them are not shaped...
