Oh yes I forgot to mention she does indeed have a laying been it has been in there for several months, it's pretty tall so she likes to hang off of the side of it. where should i be able to get mineral oil?
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Female veiled chameleon, been in my care a little under 2 years. Her birthday is next month..
Handling - Once every few weeks or however she tries to come out of her cage and she needs to b put back in
Feeding - she has eaten crickets, dubia...
They cut this tree down at work the other day and today we put the remains of what was left in the trash. I took some nice branches that I wanted to use for my chameleons and green tree monitor. The question I have is it sanitary/safe to do so?
He might just be tired of the crickets. I have 3 beardies, my 2 females live together and will eat ANYTHING of any size. I had a huge number of crickets and i needed to cut down quick so I dropped about 100 crickets in with my 2 females and they ate pretty much all of them while my male i dont...
Lmao! Well in this case she is the undersized one, she looks large in the picture because the phone was like an inch away from her but the male is a lot bigger than her..
Thank you for the info, I did notice her getting bulkier lately as well.
Interesting. Last time I posted a picture of her people told me she was receptive. Here's the link to that thread https://www.chameleonforums.com/these-gravid-colors-64776/
The female is on my hand, the male translucent is hanging on the outside of his cage. She's never displayed these colors before, what do they mean? I'd assume they mean for the male to get lost but I could be wrong lol
I have a Green Tree Monitor myself that I got from a Reptile Show in July. Chams1 are you any good at sexing them? Mine was sold to me as a female but I just came back from the vet with her and my vet said he believes it is now a male after it pissed on him after he performed the culture on it...
Surprised nobody pointed this out yet but you are handling the guy too much.. Once a day is too much for a chameleon, one you just got especially because they dont handle stress too well. Also how big is the cham? I think you'll need a bigger cage down the road. Something like 24x24x48 is...
I think it's an overcrowding issue. the die off has been significantly smaller since I got the crickets in a 10 gallon tank instead of the original smaller tank they were in.
Ive noticed this alot with my crickets that they almost always cannibalize each other even when there is food around. Dubia roaches also do it but it's so rare ive had the same batch of roaches from May and only like 2-3 of them have been cannibalized. It's annoying when you go check the...
My female cham who is about a year and a half is a little bigger than that but not by much. Does yours have MBD? Because that is the reason mine is her size. She is actually just starting to show off some new colors and putting on some bulk very recently.
Thank you for asking, the surgery went well and she is home. They ran tests on the tail and it came back positive for an infection so I have been going to the vet every 3 days for her to get shots to treat it. She hates going there and she actually bit one of the nurses recently. Feeding her has...
She's a year and a half actually, she is just very very small from the MBD. It was for this reason I was hoping she would never lay eggs because i dont want her to have any more complications. I saw her display those new colors and I knew they meant either gravid or receptive but i wasn't sure...
