I only handle my veiled when she lets me. Sometimes when I am feeding her she'll crawl out onto my arm. I suppose she is thinking this is the best and fastest was to get to the food. Then as soon as she crawls out onto me I put her back in her enclosure right away.
My first chameleon (veiled) was about 1 month old when I got her. I loved watching her grow up but I think my next chamelon will be a bit older. I never had any problems with her but everyone tells me that I was very lucky that my first chameleon being that young lived.
My chameleon has seen my Blue Toungue Skink and isn't bothered by him at all. She looks at him but doesn't appear stressed, doesn't puff up, or change in color. I think it depends on your chameleon's personality.
What will be the diameter of the hole in the top of the cup? My veiled chameleon likes her cups to have larger holes in the top because sometimes she likes to sit on the cup stick and her head right into it to shoot at the crickets from a 1-2 inch distance.

I was wondering if there were any blue tongue skink owners who could help me. This is my fisrt winter with my skink. I was wondering if they try to hibernate during this time of year.
