Just beautiful. Nice to see something new. The only worry now is how are you going to find another wild caught with similar coloration so you don't lose it :confused:
Amazing pictures, and I hope you do post a youtube video. Youtube embedding is eady. See this thread for instructions.
Please post pictures of the setup too!!:eek::D
I have 200 left of the B. fusca roaches. $100 with shipping included.
Take the last 500 discoids (mostly subadults) for $235.00 shipped. Keep half to raise to adulthood in a matter of weeks and breed them, and feed the other half off. Please I want to get rid of these damn things!
Just get a bucket or tub of sand, make it wet, but not completely muddy, and put it next to a tree or branch near the bottom in a corner away from the light and let her go to down. It needs to be wet enough that when she digs a hole the hole stays intact but not wet enough that her feet get...
The problem with distilled water is it's PURE which means no electrolytes. You should reconstitute it with some sea salt or other minerals.
I learned this the hard way when I went through my "no tap water" phase when I was working out. I would buy gallon jugs of distilled water, bring it to the...
Turkistan roaches. The size of crickets, so they move and illicit a feeding response, and they don't burrow like a discoid or dubia might if you leave it in the cage too long. I can't recommend lobsters, even though I use them, because they're simply too fast and hide too well.
Here's an update: none of the other eggs hatched unfortunately. The one that did is still growing strong and has a great appetite. I had been feeding her one or two roach nymphs every other day and then I decided to give her a house fly this week and then it was gone in 24 hours! So I may have...
So I took some photos of my 2.1 montiums. First few of the female when she was gravid. She was so gravid you could literally see the eggs about to burst out of her backside! Then I took some photos of them in the backyard on a bush. Bonus oustaleti trying to blend in.
I have some toads that eat mainly ants in the wild, but I cannot find any ant feeders for them. I found some websites selling western harvester ants intended for horned lizards (ironically called horny toads sometimes), but those have stingers, and I don't want to kill my toads.
Does anyone...
These are two LTC (6+ months) males, and I have a slightly deformed female. A bent jaw from a fight, not from malnutrition/lack of UVB/MBD. She is still able to eat on her own, just can't shut her mouth fully.
They are all feeding on roaches (lobsters, dubia, discoids, etc.) and banana...
