Awesome info. I want to master this ability for my chameleon. I have a few cocooning right now. If I'm not mistaken, do they get a little smaller looking before they cocoon?

    Success w Silkworms

Status Update: I had it all wrong. I apologize. I had 250 eggs in which only 100 hatched. Dandelion ate 25 in about 25 days. I have 20 worms left and 55 worms died in my care. Oh no. It was much harder than I thought and I spent over 100 dollars on this experiment. It might be more cost...

Is it okay to put Jackson chameleon in glass cage?

Hi, I use a glass terrarium called the skyscraper. It is a little small, but I have great success with it. I live in New England and I figured the humidity would never stay in it the winter. Why do you want to change? Can we see a picture of your Jackson. please.

Cool pictures. I let them go, too. It's nice to hear. I haven't let silkworms go, but I set crickets free all the time. :)

    Success w Silkworms

Hi, the silkworm eggs hatched and within 4 weeks Dandelion began eating them. Thanks for all the help. The people on this forum are the best. I would never be able to be so successful. Only 5 died of natural causes. ;)

Can't keep humidity up in glass enclosure

I use hydroballs about one inch. They keep humidity levels more even. But be careful I hear too much humidity can cause respiratory infections and with a glass cage it may be more likely.

    Secondary Chameleon Cages/Containers

I use a ficus tree that he clings in by a light. He doesn't seem to move much and looks hidden. It takes me twenty minutes before I'm back and I also have someone checkin on him every so often.

    Do tongues

Hi, I've been making slow motion videos of Dandelion, my Jackson Chameleon, eating. I noticed his tongue grabs the crickets body like an elephant's trunk grabbing leaves. However, I hear people describe chameleons capturing bugs because their tongues are sticky. Probably a combination of...
