its pretty difficult to keep humidity in a screen cage at a an exact percentage. i usually just mist the cage whenever i get the chance. i know every1 says not to but i use shredded coconut husks as a substrate to help with humidity and live plants help aswell. if you can do without the...
nice to c another graceful owner out there! so what i typicaly do is test out different temps and c which one he is more active in ive found the temps around 85-75 is a nice range for my guy. he seems really active in that range. as for the handling that is aslo a depends on your chameleon...
i did this a couple months ago. caught some flies and put a piece of chicken in with them. they laid their eggs the larva ate the chichen then they pupated for about a week or so. i cant tell you the best way to do it but this is how it happened with me. im sure some of the other members can...
it looks like a cricket bite. do you cup feed or free range the crickets? my little guy was covered in these when i got him. they go away either with time or the next shed. i wouldnt be to concerned with it unless it starts getting bigger.
that is a graceful no doubt about it. i have one as well, more pics would ease every1 elses minds tho haha. ive researched them for a couple months now and ive came across some researches that say that just cause its a male doesnt necessarily mean it will have spurs. i will try to find the...
haha i had a thread that named any1 with a graceful? but it probly got like 3 comments and the thread died. i was hoping to keep in touch with others with gracefuls seeing as most every post is about either a veiled or panther. ill have some update pics up of kiko most likely tommorrow or so. :D
i used vinegar to clean the plants, mostly to get hard water off. warm water and vinegar then aired it out for a while, it works if you dont mind the smell, it also kills bacteria i heard. not 100% on that last part tho. i hate the smell of it tho so im also looking for alternatives aswell.
i heard bad things about the old zilla lights but i also heard they fixed those problems. im using the zilla tropical uvb right now, no problems so far. if you have the dessert one id recomend changing it. ALSO if youve had it for a long time lets say over 5 or 6 months its time for a change

so kiko (my graceful cham) used to hate crickets and he refused to eat them and if he ever did he would just eat 1 or so. but then i picket up some repashy calcium plus at the expo and when i opened it up i first noticed it smells really good then i dusted my crickets with it and bam kiko ate 6...

we look at about 10 different websites learn the husbandy.(most websites differ) then we try whichever one sounds most accurate. making small tweaks as we go. in the wild the weather isnt always perfect the temperature changes daily. each cham likes something different!! find what makes him/her...
i used to live in guatemala for a couple years. the weather and jungles look like perfect habitat. i know people do keep them over there. possibly some escaped colonies in some places??? as for native chameleons i doubt it. it would be cool if there were some tho!!! :D
