I have one and don't think they would be a good full time cage. In my opinion, they are really only good for transportion and temporary habitats. Their not that sturdy and the screen is really thick so lighting would be hard to get right. You also cant see into them that well. I wouldn't...

I bought an XSI a few months ago. You'll like it! I was comparing with the Nikons. What I found was the Nikons picked up colors better on the auto settings, but the Cannon just "felt" better in the hand and you can compensate by adjusting settings for colors. Overall, I'm very happy with it...
