I went with butyl rubber because I had some spare cut offs then a plug and waste underneath that will serve as a cupboard, I should add I making my terrarium from converting my daughters old wardrobe so the bottoms wood, so done 3 layers to be sure 😆

Yes I had thought that and would probably like the look of it better, would help raise humidity and might make it easier to regulate temperature but I was concerned about enough through air, would some holes and the open top be adequate air flow ?
