this is common in veilds as they are known to be a agressive species of chameleon. watch your fingers ! lol

males display those colors when they are excited and want to mate or see another male and want to fight.

the rat probaly gave birth in a corner or something before tha snake ate it. goes to show this person didnt monitor the feeding. a big no-no cause rats are known to bite and injure snakes when left unattended.
