I just grabbed a vine from the park, pulled the roots and cut the top. I planted it and it starting sprouting a week later. I'd like to start growing some more in the yard and then cut my own from them.
If you pick up a misting system, you don't have to fill the dripper or hand spray. The only reason I mention it is once you switch over, you never want to go back.

My ambanja male has a similar spot, his was created from shedding. The old skin had a tough time getting off the new ones, and he has a black half oval on his spine. It is slowly getting smaller.
watch out when assembling the habitat, as they burrow and can dig under things and get crushed as the fall (happened to a friend of mine)

lots of vines to climb, otherwise he/she will just climb whatever it can find. mind climbs up some vertical blinds to sit above the window in the room.
