    Day off means... Photo time!

Thanks Dez! Cheers. Awe, thanks Jann. I regret not getting online as often as I once was. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute a little more! Thanks so much. I'm just using an 18-55mm. Body is a Nikon D3200. Nothing too special! PS. the photos look a lot more crisp on the original files...

    Sleeping Beauty's. Let's see yours!

Wow! I can't believe the response this thread has gotten while I have been off the forums. Maybe I will have to give this thread an update of my own crawlies! Great pictures everyone, sleeping chameleons are definitely the most beautiful sleepers aren't they?

    Day off means... Photo time!

I feel like I am becoming a bit of a ghost on these forums, so I apologize in advance! I have been incredibly busy as of late. That being said, my pup just got spayed so I took a few days off of work. Much needed down time. Well, enjoy these photos of everyone! Harley Quinn. She isn't too...

    My Chameleons and their Enclosures

Hello chameeeleon, I apologize for the late reply. Naboo is a Mitsio/Ambilobe cross. His blue are very random, maybe he has Nosy Be mixed in there somewhere down his lines. Regardless, I am happy with him and that is all that matters :)

    Very Interesting Lesson Learned

Just want to quickly jump in here, in regards to the Exo Terra SunRay. I use these for my adult Veiled, Gizmo, and my adult Panther, Naboo. My story is the exact opposite. Gizmo only ate once a week, sometimes only every couple of weeks, for the longest time. His temps were 89-90*F. I...

    Young nosy mitsio

NosyRandall, your boy is a cutie, but might I ask what your supplementation schedule is? At 4 months, your boy already has visible MBD, and we don't want that to get any worse. You can notice he has MBD (metabolic bone disease) by the curve of his forearm in the most recent two photos. MBD is...

    My Chameleons and their Enclosures

    My Chameleons and their Enclosures

Thank you very much Robert. Naboo and Gizmo's enclosures are both 24x24x48 inches. If you want your plants to flourish, use a 5000-6500K (kelvins) light bulb. The output of kelvins is what will help your plants grow, but it has to be between 5000 and 6500K. I personally use two 26W 6500K...

    My Chameleons and their Enclosures

Thanks for the compliment. It's not a missing toenail, he still has three on one side and two on the other. I believe it's a scarred injury, but seems not to effect him at all. Thank you Carol, you are always most kind! Thank you! Painted it myself :)

    Hanging plants

Go buy a 3/4" dowel and cut it to the width of your enclosure. Put it on top of your enclosure and cut a hole into the top mesh underneath the dowel. Then hook the pothos' hanger through the hole in the mesh and hook it around the dowel. Tada!

    Great Grandbaby Veileds!

Ah, I remember the great pairing that was Luie and Camille. Such a beautiful veiled chameleon couple. You have great genes in line, that is undoubtedly so! Cute little boogers.

    Sleeping Beauty's. Let's see yours!

Jann, minus the veil, sage looks just like my Gizmo when he is sleeping! The patterns are near identical, especially the barring. I'll try to get an updated picture soon!

    Need help sexing!

This little one needs help being sexed. Not mine, but the owners don't know. It's 3 months old and on the first day it had some nice dark bars (likely stress related from the shipping) and bright blue cheeks.

    Accurate caresheets for "rare"r species?

Believe it or not, this book has an amazing care sheet on Parsons Chameleons. Last week it was slow at work, so I grabbed this book off the shelf and read it front to back and was quite amazed with the information provided...

    How Do Chameleons Hatch Naturally?

Last night I was having a hard time falling asleep, and of course my brain started to think about things I need not think of. But then an interesting thought crossed my mind. How do chameleons hatch naturally? Now I know this might seem like a silly question, but I am curious to know if anyone...
