    Follicular stasis…veiled chameleon…

Poor girls. The veiled girls seem to suffer the most. Breaks my heart. 🥺😢 From my brain - I have to wonder what that black fluid that they pulled out is. Liquified necrosis?

Ok. Well, when you feel you want to get a chameleon, come on back. :) Although, you could post about your leopard gecko and share pics when you get him/her in this section. https://www.chameleonforums.com/forums/other-reptiles-and-pets.38/ ;)

    Surprise Silkies!

This is a bizarre one and I have to ask if anyone has experienced or heard about anything like it. I have lots of silkworm eggs in my big fridge and also a small almost novelty sized fridge. Looking for some viable eggs this morning (the ones I took out a couple of weeks ago weren’t) and oh! My...

I just checked your plant link. Pothos is perhaps the very best for all chameleons. Besides being very easy to grow, it is safe and comes in several varieties. I find gorgeous big pothos plants at Lowe’s and Home Depot and sometimes even Walmart. Umbrella plants (schefflera) are one of my...

Fram’s has a couple of male veiled. https://framschams.com/collections/all-chameleons?page=2 You could always contact them and ask what else they may have in your price range. Sometimes breeders get ‘mystery’ pairings where they aren’t certain about locale purity and sell at a discounted price...

I’m just curious why you aren’t interested in the kit from Neptune? It’s the easiest and cost effective way to get everything needed. But, if this is the way you prefer, I’ll give my feedback. The enclosure is too small. The minimum is the ReptiBreeze XL size, which is 2’ wide and deep and 4’...

No. That’s much too small for an adult chameleon. There’s minimum size is 2x2x4’.

$2k for a pc? Gotta be a Mac fan. 😊 I provided the link above for Neptune’s basic kit. Here is the one for the advanced one. https://www.pangeareptile.com/collections/reptile-kits/products/advanced-chameleon-kit-by-neptune-the-chameleon Forgive my laziness in looking at what the difference...

    Possible Eggbound Chameleon

@ferretinmyshoes is one of the moderators and seldom seen here (probably because we would all expect free advice). This is totally not at all an appropriate way to speak to someone here and I find it very upsetting. Whether we like it or not, there is no substitute for an in person veterinary...

    Baby Parson’s chameleon

How can a baby’s face look so wise? And once again I’m impressed with your photography skills as well as your chameleons. Just an amazing photo to wake up to today. 🤩😍🥰

    I’m nervous/a little worried

Giving him some juicier feeders should help him to have a good poo. Hornworms and silkworms are great at helping to get things moving along. You could also try giving your feeders something like pumpkin or apple right before feeding them to Chameleonaire.

    2026 Chameleon Calendar

I need to check my mail more often. My calendar arrived (probably a few days ago) and it is gorgeous! I can’t tell if it’s because it’s all shiny and new, but it seems more vibrant than those in the past. I love the addition of the stickers too. Going to see how the CF one holds up on my car...

I’m so sorry. May Ruga rest in peace.

    Possible Eggbound Chameleon

Poor girl. I wish I had an easy answer for you. Unfortunately in order to tell what may be going on, a vet visit with x ray would be needed…see if she has any retained eggs. The only other advice I can offer is to provide her with absolute privacy to dig and do whatever it is she is feeling she...

I'm backkkkkkkkkkkkkk....... and I need helppppp.............

Welcome back. :) Just have to ask how your beardie is doing. They are often said to be good for beginner reptile keepers, but from my own experience, they are just as expensive and as much (or even more) work than chameleons. Rather than list everything, the best way to get the basics is...

    Hornworm moth

If we’re all a bit weird, wouldn’t that make us ‘normal’ for being reptile keepers? Maybe we just all have our own unique types of crazy. I apologize to my silkworms and roaches before feeding them to my animals and reassure them that it will be quick.

Pseudo-gout (veiled chameleon) - any hope?

Defintely modify his environment to help him move around and be safer. When one of mine was failing (she had cancer) I moved her to a smaller enclosure and made a little platform for her, making sure to provide shaded areas and a lower platform to catch her if she fell. In some areas where I...

    Hornworm moth

 I don’t know about this one. I’ve hatched out my share of (hornworm) hawk moths and have found even the smallest a bit too large to dare to give to any of my chams, or even a beardie. The only cham of mine that I would even consider would be my big male veiled. All of my panthers are...
