I know that any chameleon should have variety in their diet, but let's just assume one uses only crickets. How often and how much should an adult Jackson Chameleon eat?
Do you feed your Jackson chameleon every other day, or every day? And how many crickets do you feed them a day?
I'm sure...
I never claimed that they didn't, so I have no need to. But someone else claiming that they did, and you asking if I can prove them wrong...well that's just shifting the burden of truth. :p

What of this? Accident? Human intervention?
I haven't noticed or even read of chameleons actually caring for their offspring...
I only supplement with calcium, twice a week. I stopped with multivitamins after several discussions on here.
THe temperatures is around 80- 85F (just changed bulb this morning because I thought it was too cold) at the basking spot. The temperature in my room, which is where his enclosure...
Well I had the idea of the q-tip with his last shed as it took a while and some skin stayed stuck on his face and around his horns. That never really went off. Thankfully most did but there's still like one or two little patches there, one right under his left horn and another right above his...
Yesterday, Tricky (10 months old jackson chameleon) started scratching his head with his right hind leg, and when I went to look at him, I noticed dead skin, or flakes over his eye, peeling or falling off. Looked normal for shedding, and should be about the right time for shedding as he last did...
Well so far good news, my friend is coming with me. He is mainly interested in seeing snakes and for whatever reason particularly wants to see venemous snakes, But not handle them of course. lol
Most likely going to Repticon soon. Looking forward to it. I guess it would depend on the location, but for those of you who've ever been to it, please let me know your experiences. I wish that I could bring, Tricky with me (very friendly and mellow jackson chameleon) but even though he'd...
My jackson chameleon's name is, Tricky. The name comes from the word "tri," as he has three horns, reminds me of a triceratops and is in the genus "trioceros." Why I particularly picked the name, "Tricky" was because I was thinking of the use of "tri," that name clicked because I remembered a...
You're a veterinarian. Do you take your chameleons to see a veterinarian? Or do you take them to see yourself? Is there a never ending chain of veterinarians? I guess in theory the chameleon forums could break the chain. This is a sort of a Spongebob reference and a joke but I am honestly...
I'm digging your profile picture. As of Monday, 13 October. I hope that you don't change it to something gruesome in the future and people read this thinking I am a sick freak for liking a horrible image. :p
I haven't had anyone who think that I am weird for taking care of a chameleon yet. So...
How do you transport your chameleons?
For those of you who don't want a relatively long winded post and just want to go straight to answering the questions, they are:
1) How do you take your chameleon to the vet (just leave them on your shoulder, put them in a box…?)
2) Have you ever taken...
My blue spray bottle that I use for misting and sometimes directly for giving, Tricky water to drink, broke a bit ago. Don't think it's fixable this time, so I borrowed my sister's. I was misting for over a minute, and he kept following the spray bottle, trying to get to it. See he couldn't get...
Actually I was just asking the question; if you kew these creatures as extinct and saw their fossils, would YOU envision them the same with skin? And next, do you think paleontologists would eventually conclude that their eyes could move independently.
Please do not move this to general photography because that is NOT what this is about. It is a general discussion, and not focused on the photographs. The purpose of the photographs are simply to initiate the question, so that the readers have something to look at on this actual thread and not...
