hello I removed the top crest of the soil and filled it with large pebbles so no soil is visible anymore. he does not look bloated from the sides and seems just fine. but im afraid that he wont last without food the next days. he is 1.5 months old

I got my baby male veiled chameleon 5 days ago and today I noticed a very tiny part of his tail with peeled off skin. It is less than a cm. Will the lost part of skin grow back again or I have to wait until he sheds ? He's my first chameleon and he's almost one month old.
