    Waldo - New Colors?

So, it seems in a matter of 20 minutes, Waldo has gone from his normal green, to eating 15 crickets, to sitting in his favorite spot with........a new yellowish-orange color to the middle of his torso! Photos were edited, no saturation change, just greyscale Unedited 20...

Mist King system or Repti Fogger?

Agree, while both misting systems I am sure are elite. Myself, I trust American built equipment more then that built elsewhere. Especially China. If you read into the AquaZamp - you will see all their stuff is NSF certified and Water Quality Association qualified. Plus, they have the rain...

    Waldo's first eating video

Thanks - he's getting more comfortable with having human eyes on him. If you watch while he is eating he will normally stop though, but as he is sitting there he doesnt have a care in the world.

    took in a sick chameleon

I don't want to run my mouth too much as I'm only a beginner as well having owned my first for 6 months. Leaving him outside unattended though, to me, doesnt sound like a great ideal. Theres no telling what may land on his cage looking at him like prey and stressing him out. I'd suggest...

    took in a sick chameleon

The difference between UVB and natural sunlight is unexplainable. Almost everyone here who has switched back and forth between the two has posted noticable differences in eating habits, attitudes, and colors. I myself saw my Cham's appetite increase the EXACT day i started taking him out for...

    Waldo's first eating video

Waldo is extremely camera shy, if you couldnt tell by most of my pics, I'm usually 5ft away using a 200mm zoom camera. Today though, he let me tape his eating habits. he was still nervous, and I'm lead to believe on his first shoot at the cricket he was between watching me and watching...

    Continue to use the dripper??

He may drink from both. I know Waldo, my veiled, finds a perching spot in the middle/top of his enclosure everyday 10 min. before the mister turns on and just watches it as he opens and closes his mouth. The dripper though, he scopes it out for a few days, watched the drip, watched the leaf...

Its working, wouldn't say fine, but working. Was just hoping I could keep the house at normal temperatures and still maintain good temps in his cage.

    House Temps...

I actually have an EcoZone Vivarium Controller....which works great. But, until I get.my aquazamp, it wont auto-mist on the RH readings because the monsoon has an internal timer.

    House Temps...

Katy, TX weather is probably as close as it gets to San Antonio weather. 100+ daytime temps and 80's at night with heat index vein 105-110 in the day and 90 at night. I've finally got my humidity at a comfortable level, so for that I am happy. Its just those dang temperatures. They...

    House Temps...

Only curious on what everybody keeps their house temperatures at, day and night....and what temperatures do their enclosures read when their house is at that temperature. Only curious because I seem to have to work extra hard to get my enclosure to read good base temperatures and to do so I...

    Update on Herbie

I'll look into those bulbs 5 months down the road when these become nearly useless. I'd like a more white look then blue anyways. Yea Texas, where you can only bring your cham outside at 8 in the morning for an hour....lol. its too bad 110 degrees wasnt the safe natural temp for a...

    Update on Herbie

Sorry to hijack - I wish Herbie luck, but I didnt see the point in starting a new thread when I'll likely get an immediate answer and one post. I don't know much about the UVB bulbs, just that the repti-glo 5.0 is the way to go. My UVB fixture holds two, so I have two 5.0's in there. That...

    My Ecozone Vivarium Controller

So, 4 days I received this unit and went right to work on getting it set up. I actually spent the night before pre-planning all my settings so I could quickly input them when I got home and hooked up. Needless to say, the hour spent pre-planning my settings was a waste as after putting...

    Humidity confuses me...
