Yes there is a difference. They are from different environments.
Lower temperatures and higher humidity. I keep my rudis at 72 F with basking temps no higher than 80 F.
Your cham is dying, getting him to a vet NOW is your only hope. It may already be too late.
Sorry and I hope for the best.
Chameleons should never sleep in the day and he should be trying to get away from you.
Buying animals to save them from petshops that don't take proper care of them only encourages the petshops to purchase more animals and keep them in the same deplorable conditions. Purchasing the animals only continues the cycle.
It's a nice thought but best to advise them of proper care...
Sorry unresponsive is not a good sign for chams. I advise you take him to the vet.

If the rocks can fit in it's mouth, you need to remove them and replace with larger rocks that can not be picked up or gnawed upon. I have covered potting soil in some of my enclosures with pet mesh. Cut to the appropriate size and adhere to the pot. Chams should not have anything in their...
Mine get about a 1/4" every week. I keep all sizes for my many chams and this seems to be typical on 'cricket crack' and carrots.
*Cricket crack- a cricket feed I buy here on the forum.
After you've had him for a while, you'll be suprised what you can do with bugs. The back legs just pinch off :D
I would only use one deep enough that they could not jump out of, you need to make sure your little guy can still reach them with out it being a challenge.
I love that Sandra. I usually use the microwave method with small batches but I think I'm going to try your way next time. Sounds less messy and less guess work.
I keep montane with no problem in screen, it's just a question of husbandry and plants. With an Exo Terra Setup I would say go for it but he is using a hamster cage on top of a fish tank. :(
Some chams just like to hunt. But leave crix in the feeding cup and don't offer them anything else they will get used to the idea. Dust will also fall off the crix that are left the cup a while in the feeding cup, but training is the idea first.
Every time you stick you hand in the enclosure or remove the top you are giving him a little stress. (ie removing another cage from the top)
Set the up screen cage in a low traffic area of the floor and plant it heavily with real plants. If you mist it at least two times a day for 2-5 at a...
That's about my livingroom, but I have them mounted to the walls. Hope your family is more understanding than mine. They come to visit and watch the wall like one of the chams are going to jump into their hair.
For the time being (until you get a screen cage or Exo Terra Terrarium:p) you need to cover the gravel with something. If he accidentally ingests some he can become compacted and die. I suggest river rock. Chameleons should not have any substrate because of the compaction risk but you are...
