maybe the cage is to small that does seem little how big is he how old was he when u got him? that could be a big part of your problem. i got a thought try running a vine out and up give him som more roaming room when you feel like you can be around and know nothing can mess with him ive noticed...
to add a little to that i do feed twice a day i think most recomend it but i try not to feed later then 4 or 5 they need their lights for proper diagestion.
how many do u think are left the problem is they have been known to chew on your cham in there sleep. terrible but true. id sy do what you gotta do take all your plants out till u get it down to only a couple left in there and maybe try cup or milk crate feeders to make sure this dont happen...
where are you ordering small horns from? only reason i dont think silks are good for someone with small chams is cause in 3 or 4 days there huge. i have a whole cup of worms im terrified to feed cause those suckers are really really big especially if you try to go with the rule about not feeding...
i dont think hornworms are smll enough for a 3.5 month supers are beter then wax worms aare i actually give mine suppers sorta often and limit the mount of wax and meal worms wax are very fatening and meals are higher in chiten then supers are. another worm no one mentioned was butter worms high...

it depends on what your ordering really only plce i found to get small supers and silks is mulberry farms but there expensive but when u factor in shipping for 2 sites it works out id say go thru them.
one thought is suspending from above but how u have it is fine as long as u got it high up if you could suspend it though it may help you get the best baskig zones. one thought your plnt will grow quick under the uvbso that plant may get to big to use since itss a tight fit now. next thought is...
supers are a decent worm. butter worms are full of calcium silk worms are a mess so be prepaired.the pheonix worms went well and kept awhile he loved them but we had to take a break think he lost his taste for them.
